this update is a failure, I lost all my songs, they weren't on my pc since I changed recently. The best features won't work on my model, it is slow and glitchy, I hate it

It works best on the newest generation iPods. It was probably not a good idea to update when the songs aren't in your iTunes. I would tell you to downgrade, but I have no idea how to.

I like it, except that it just barely now caught up to what the Android had 6 months ago so it is still kind of behind with the times. Same with the phone specs, the Evo and the upcoming Droid 2 have better specs, though at the cost of the battery life. At least it has that, awesome battery life.

All in all, it's not a bad product, but it's still not the best out there.

The upcoming Droid X stomps both the Evo, Droid 2 and RAPES the iPhone 4, its beastly.

And luckily it's coming out within a month right about when my contract ends, I'll be grabbing the Droid X for sure.

That is what I meant by the Droid 2, sorry.

Ah no worries, didn't know because there is a Droid 2 being made as well :P

I'm still hesitant in getting the Droid X tho, because Motorola has promised a 2GHZ Android phone by the end of the year, most likely the TI Dual Core architecture, and that thing would rape but I don't know if I want to wait, especially since the Droid X is a beast anywhos.

Slap Android 2.2 on that and it will handle the web faster than an iPad. Hell, a normal Nexus One is kinda close to the iPad already running on 2.2 so it will be interesting to see how these thing do. Also, Flash!

And 99p is 99p more than I currently pay for games for it.

So features that have been in a lot of phones for ages are now a really good update because it's in the iPhone? God I hate apple.

OH MY GOD! Iphone has finally the functions that my N70 had 5 years ago, now I should run and sell my blood, sperm and liver to buy it asap! OH MY GOD!

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Its great, i only have one gripe....it keeps EVERYTHING running in the background if youve opened it. iBooks, settings, any app etc. stays on th emultitask bar unless you manually delete it. Other than that i looooove OS 4.

I love my 3GS but ill probably hold off for a 64gb iphone4 hopefully next summer, couldnt be happier with any of my apple products.

Now i just cant wait for my instant netflix app in august for my iphone and gamecenter!

Most items in the quick bar aren't actually running. Most of them will just be saved state, while others just run simple tasks like streaming audio or file transfers instead of running the full app.

And yeah, iPhone 3G and iPod 2nd Gen owners should probably hold off on the update. Seems to be a real mixed bag for pre-3GS devices.
