Here's the educated response from someone who has taken several bio and psychobio classes.

Masturbation for males reduces testosteron and increases estrogen. A good balance keeps you looking young, less body hair, and reduces baldness. It also reduces aggression and keeps you thinking clearly.

Masturbation in females makes them more confident and more aggressive. Women who masturbate or have a lot of sex are often more dominant and more assertive as it brings them into a better balance.

boxers and other people who are into accomplishment "hold off" because it increases testosterone, which has a variety of effects including less pain, better endurance, sometimes more focus.

Female boxers are encouraged to get as much sex as they can because it increases testosterone.

can you explain more please on how that happens ? or give a link so we can read it? just because I am confused because everyone else says other wise, including medical sites. :)

This current study examined the effect of a 3-week period of sexual abstinence on the neuroendocrine response to masturbation-induced orgasm. Hormonal and cardiovascular parameters were examined in ten healthy adult men during sexual arousal and masturbation-induced orgasm. Blood was drawn continuously and cardiovascular parameters were constantly monitored. This procedure was conducted for each participant twice, both before and after a 3-week period of sexual abstinence. Plasma was subsequently analysed for concentrations of adrenaline, noradrenaline, cortisol, prolactin, luteinizing hormone and testosterone concentrations. Orgasm increased blood pressure, heart rate, plasma catecholamines and prolactin. These effects were observed both before and after sexual abstinence. In contrast, although plasma testosterone was unaltered by orgasm, higher testosterone concentrations were observed following the period of abstinence. These data demonstrate that acute abstinence does not change the neuroendocrine response to orgasm but does produce elevated levels of testosterone in males.

Also, I can't find the study, but orgasm sparks a production in estogen levels. Estrogen is later converted to testosterone. So, masturbation to completion results in a dip in testosterone, increased estrogen, and later increased testosterone.

The increase in estrogen results in what many call "pillow talk", or one of the most emotionally sensitive period for a man.

I have never mastrubated, and I am somewhat lazy and mildly insane.

I would be lazy too if I had to drag around what must be roughly sixty pounds of balls in your case.

I see so if a male is sensitive, that means he jacks off alot.. how interesting

Well, I consider myself sensitive and this backs up the theory *winks*

It will make you very tired, but dont worry, once you get married and knock your wife up you will never use that part of your body again...

Most of all, it's a waste of time.

That is weird. To me it is the opposite. The only negative thing I noticed is that when I do it before bedtime it is hard for me to sleep.

As a future physician and deeply interested in the subjects concerning human sexuality, I can assure to you guys that masturbation poses no threat at all for your physical and mental health. Actually, it does the opposite and goes a lot like any physical exercise in your body after all is said and done. The only way I can see masturbation as something undesirable on a person with underactive sympathetic nervous system, for maybe something like abnormal blood pressure due to the endorphin/serotonin discharge following orgasm.

Most likely the OP had a mild psychological problem in his mind which I can't really comment on the nature, since I know nothing about his life besides what he posted. He built on his mind a image of masturbation as the source of his daily issues and effectively handled with them by simply stopping masturbate. A more elaborate version of making a child write her issue in a piece of paper and making she believe her problems are gone by simply destroying the paper.
