So I just got back from my first (of many hopefully) E3 and I'v got a lot to say. First off: wow what a show, every company puts its best foot forward and looks the part. I was often asked what my favorite part of E3 was and my answer was always the fact that I was there, living a childhood (ok teen) dream of attending the world's largest gaming expo was finally realized and I had such a blast. Meeting all the great people, not only from the companies (I met some CEOs) but the great VGChartz team you guys were awesome, funny and made the show for me, from when we were trading disgusting jokes at Ihop to staying up till 6AM writing articles it was all great, but we really should have gone to the rhinoceros club ; )
The games were also great, heres a short list of what I got to play:
- Mafia II, Goldeneye 007, Conduit 2, Sonic Colours, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby Epic Yarn, PilotWings: Resort, The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Killzone 3 (3D), Sports Champions, Final Fantasy: The 4 Warrior's Of Light, De Blob: The Underground and many more that I cant remember.
The VGCartz party was also great, 2 live bands, hundreds of dollars raised for charity and more drinks then I think I was supposed to drink, a very fun time. So who went?
All in all E3 was very fun, everything about it was fantastic (ok maybe not our internet connection) but it was seriously one of the best times I'v had. Sure I was hungry, tired, sweaty, exhausted and now sick and tired of games but I would and hopefully do it all again next year.
