I see GT5 topping out at 500k in Japan after The Best release and before bundles. Preorders did not pick up at all after the info and new trailers came out. The sales will be made up in NA and EU though. Mingol 6 on the other hand will probably sell more than Mingol 5, I can see that doing 800-900k in Japan if it releases close to Move release - that is by Summer 2011 at the latest. I think both Mingol 6, Mintennis and possibly a new Min, either Min Sports or Min Baseball, will be released within a year of PS Move release in Japan. |
Well, I tend to think it'll do better than that. Especially when Sony inevitably gives it away via bundles (which more than doubled GT5P "sales" in Japan).
I do agree on Mingol though, and I think it could really be a killer app for Move. Something like Minna no Yakyuu could be really huge too imo.

I think you shouldn't have written this line, if up till now pepole didn't bother reading your posts because they were too long, now they won't bother reading them because you show a severe flaw in your understanding of how sales work.
Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

not those bundles like year old LBP and 3 year old UNCHARTED free with 250gb SKU they will do it like NEED FOR SPEED SHIFT,GOD OF WAR ONE's where its 120gb plus game for $239 ALSO if Wii was without Wii sports it would have still been priced that high |
Actually, in America it might not get bundled right away. SCEA tends to shy away from that, did we even get a GT5P bundle here?
And again, Japan shows exactly how Nintendo would've handled Wii w/o Wii Sports. The console would've launched @ $199.99, and Wii Sports probably would've been $39.99. Reggie insisting on bundling it was really a genius move though, it allowed them to artificially raise the console price ("free" game! value!) and Wii Sports (more than anything else at launch) was really the sort of proof of concept title Wii needed to sway the masses. It was pure win:win for Nintendo.

That was someone doing a joke apparently.
This one was taken from GT5 though. This one shows exactly what they are talking about in terms of textures and detail. Apparently car's don't have any mechanics underneath them!

What's Yakyuu? And that's why I said before bundles, if Sony heavily bundles GT5 with the PS3 in Japan, then I can see it doing 800k or so.

I said before bundles smart guy. Did you notice that GT5 has not moved in the pre orders even though new info, trailers, etc have come out? GT is not a huge franchise in Japan anymore.
GT5 will sell over 1 million on Japan... GT5:P toped 600k.
