Your plan may be a win/win/win for the town but I don't trust anybody's plan without outright knowing what it is which is why I want to lynch you. Call me paranoid

Just add your character name to the list and you'll see it before the end of the day.

What's going on is that I have a great plan that is win/win/win for the town and so far only one person is cooperating with it. And since when are bold moves "not normal behavior" for me? Have you not been in at least one game with me? Those are the defining characteristics of my playstyle especially when I have a plan. |
Well as said I am willing to Charakter Claim if enough people do it, on the other side Vetteman is right that, especially because hatmoza said so, some of us could be specific targets to someone.

This is the second time you've said this. Why?
Will you somehow feel better claiming if 10 do it than 2? Everyone needs to get on board with this for it to work well. If everyone stands back and says "Well I'm not gonna do anything" then three things will happen: the plan will fail, scum will get away, and this is going to be a really boring day 1.
If you wanna get the game rolling, heck... if you just want to see my plan then add your name to the list.
That goes for everyone.
Words Of Wisdom said: That was a lot of words to say the obvious. The whole point of this is that it does reveal something. I wouldn't bother with it if it did not, but it's meaningless unless everyone does it. Your "standard refusal" is only hurting the town. |
I don't play these game to win. I play them to have fun. I can have fun and either win or lose. Shortcutting right to the end is not fun, nor do I trust your motives for even a second.

last time I got lynched for trying to get the game started... okay some people claimed I behaved strange, which I am kind of doing again... I should just shut up but:
Yeah I do feel better, because then I am not the only one in danger beeing targeted by someone, just because he knows who I am, on the other hand maybe no one is interested in killing me...
If your plan needs only that people tell who they are, why don't you just tell us what you are up to. Maybe more people will tell you their Character willingly then.
I still don't get how this is supposed to tell us who is scum, since like others and I said, the alignment is randomized. The only way I could see that work is, if you are a cop and you try to investigate certain characters you think are scum (because of their role in Street Fighter) but even then there is no guarantee you will find scum.

So, you're not interested in catching scum because you're playing for fun?
People like Stefl who are sitting on the fence because they're scared of being targeted (thanks Hatmoza for being an ass) I can understand. You're saying something entirely different and, between your "standard refusal" post and this one, it looks like you're just making up excuses to avoid this.

I know you don't get it yet, but look at it this way:
The game isn't going to suddenly end when everyone's name is on the list. People are acting like revealing their character name is the end of the world but it isn't. I did it. j0 did it. The game will continue and we will go on about our business.
However, when the list is filled, I will explain why I wanted to do it. You'll understand why I called for a name claim and I'm betting every pro-town person here will thank me.
Right now it's an uphill battle, because the scum are scared. They don't know why I want the name claim but they do know I'm promising things about catching them which they most certainly do not like and they're going to fight it tooth and nail. Right now is the time I need other pro-town people to help me.

I am interested in catching scum. I am interested in doing it through the normal process of guessing games, people posting weird shit, and discussion. Not using whatever role you have to achieve a quick win for your side, whichever it may be.
I am also making no excuses, but holding to what I said I would many, many games ago. This originally came up when people wanted everyone to claim a role so the potential lie detector could sniff people out. I objected for the same reasons and stand by them now.

Your insistence on secrecy is the problem. The game is based on the story of Street Fighter. Lore wise Rose is attempting to kill Bison. I can think of a couple other relationships to a similar effect on the board. Having no part in any of them I can't say if it is implemented, but it is extremely likely given how you are playing.
