Why do my posts always get misinterpreted? Is my english really that bad? >_>

Anyway, I was explaining to khuutra my point. If you take his post out of the conversation, it won't make any sense.

Okay so, he said (...)"If you are of the opinion that people shoud be able to hate on a company without baclash.... well, that's rather one-sided, now innit?" and what I was trying to say was: it doesn't matter that we criticize it on the internet. It won't make any difference. Did all the hate the Wii got on 2006 make any difference? Did it stop from selling millions? No, it did not. So I don't see any problems with the OP, pointing out flaws of the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo in general. It isn't taking credit to Nintendo, he's just having a more realistic look. Or perhaps, most gamers are giving too much credit to Nintendo, and he's being more reasonable. He made the text pretty clear, so I won't even have to quote anything. Shouldn't have written "words mean nothing", that might be confusing.

And what victim card? I haven't been "attacked" or anything. I was just saying what I do in that kind of situations, I don't give a f when people don't try to see my point. In this case, some people aren't trying to understand the OP. Instead of arguing, they're just saying he's a fanboy. And that pisses me off.

I was following the convo (even if I omitted Khuutra's post for space), but it still seemed like it strayed off subject, because he was explaining how Nintendo receives its own share of criticism, which is why the whole OP is moot.

The thread isn't about the 3DS or any specific flaws, it's about how apparently nobody criticizes any of these products, and that's clearly false. Does anyone claiming this actually look inside the Nintendo forum?

"Or perhaps, most gamers are giving too much credit to Nintendo, and he's being more reasonable."

Have you considered that many people actually believe Nintendo deserves the credit they receive? When you don't actually like Nintendo's games, when you feel that the Wii is the most overrated console ever, it should be obvious why you think people are giving Nintendo too much credit. Why should that become our problem?

Well of course, Nintendo didn't just magically appear. Don't get me wrong, I had a GBA just like 99% of the kids of my generation (I'm not trying to look unbiased). But the Wii's success is what truely annoys me. Like music: I hate to see bands like Hearts of Black Science (check 'em out) getting less than 10k of views on youtube, while bands like Jonas fgts sell commercial music and yet they're able to swim on they're mansion full of money. Oh wow I derailed a little bit.. But anyway, I think that I've messed up my opinions about Nintendo generation and this thread's opinion... I'll make a more elaborated post later/tomorrow, today I'd write stuff I'd probably regret to.

Some of the posts, like Rol's, are spot on. leatherhat speaks under the assumption that the games on Nintendo's systems are inferior to MS/ Sony's, so all the praise Nintendo gets confuses him. That's pretty much what the OP is about, since most of the examples he gives are either false or opinionated. If you disagree, please list some from there that are actually true, I bet they can be easily shot down.

You know, some people here feel that Sony's first party is above, or even on par / close to Nintendo's first party. That confuses the hell out of me, but you won't see me on the Sony thread devoting my time on telling everyone how brainwashed they are.

You're entitled to have an opinion. You have the means to express it and other people who can agree/disagree with it. What else do you want? If you don't think that's worthy of your time, then just ignore it.

As for my last comment, I should've probably clarified, but I was referring to leatherhat. There were plenty of people that argued against his OP, but instead of responding to them he just whined about how every Nintendo fanboy on the site apparently attacked him.

See? This is what he was talking about. He says something not-good about Nintendo and 5 mins later "Nintendo Defense Force" is bullying him. You've done what he expected and now he's completely right.

Spin it anyway you want, but arguing that Nintendo gets a free ride from the media is not factual at all.  It's not an opinion.  Neither MS, Sony, nor Nintendo get free rides from the media.  There are biased points all around, but to argue what he stated isn't factually correct nor could he prove it.  Stop acting like everyone is paranoid and start being logical about the situation.

I do think sometimes that maybe Nintendo's fans can be a little lenient on Nintendo, but I think fans of every company are lenient of that company in many respects.  I really think this is a mute point and simply reactionary to the situation.

For example, PS3 had a good holiday season last year with people in the media stating good things about them and sales, but does that mean I can be that narrow minded and stated that since 2006 the media has been universally lenient on Sony and the PS3 and its sales on the market?  Absolutely not as we all know the media has been very harsh on them about sales for a very long time.  But are ya'll going to spin that one around to?  No, didn't think so.  Just because the media is reactionary, doesn't me we have to be.

Haha well couldn't have been too hard.  Arguing that either of the big 3 haven't received criticism this gen by its fans or the media is just silly haha.  Reminds me of the usual political argument always stating this about the media dealing with politicians and parties.  Obviously a fallacy in logic, but each side is always ready to jump on it.  And I guess here, the factions are doing it too.

Yeah, we're all entitled to our opinions, I didn't mean we shouldn't express any negative criticisms if we have any. I'm welcome to hear any, and I give out my own often enough.

However, this thread is about how nobody seems to criticize Nintendo, when that isn't true. I believe his real complaint is, "Why don't people see Nintendo in the (bad) light that I do?" The reason is pretty simple: it's because they don't agree with him.

I love nintendo, but part of love is being able to see someone for who they really are - imperfect.

What are you talking about. They have been criticized for the last 5 years. I guarantee you they have been called out on "bad decisions"

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

@OP

I think all this talk of X company being a "victim" because X group/journalist flamed them in an insignificant unpublished internet article is high-school garbage, that Nintendo probably doesn't even know about.

The only real victims this gen are Sony, and the perps in the case are gamers who spent their money on other consoles and games, than they did last generation.

So in that sense, the OP has a point. Damn you gamers for not buying Playstation 3 or PSP and making Sony victims.

People praise Nintendo with their wallets, not just their mouths, so you take that for what you want. Know this, whatever YOUR opinions are of Nintendo games and franchises, they surely must be in the minority of gamers, considering reviews and revenue created by them.

If I told you that the PS3 was the shittiest console this generation, it would be just as valid of an opinion, and MORE generally accepted by the gaming community as a whole, as is your "Nintendo sux and people give them money for it" generalization, so relax. Did Miyamoto piss in your soup, or what?

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Hypocrisy, inconsistency, ignorance, bias, etc.  (Goal posts are not meant to continuously be moved!!)

The human fan crazy psyche right there.

I'm sorry to say... it seems your rant falls right in line with this diagnosis.  So do all fanboys/fangirls of any system, company, sports team... etc.  Don't know why so many have this innate and emotional bond to any 1 particular thing.

I game.  You game.  We game.

I'm a videogamer, not a fanboy, but have a special place for Nintendo.

Current Systems Owned: NSwitch/PS4/XONE/WiiU/3DS/2DS/PCGaming Rig-i7/ASUS i7 Gaming Laptop.

Previous Game Consoles:  PS3/Xbox360/Wii/DSL/Pretty much every one thats been released since the Atari 2600.

I've got nothing else to say about this thread other than the fact the the OP Title is hilarious :D!

"Our Messiah Nintendo, please cleanse us"

lol holy shit man.

Haha I'm sure as hell glad I didn't stop reading after the first paragraph and comment based on that.

I don't know what to say besides I agree with pretty much everything you said. Nintendo needs to start making some new IP's again instead of just releasing different versions of their popular franchises. Like there's already been 3 mario games this gen, 2 zelda games once the new one releases,  2 metroids once Other M releases, but the only new IP I can think of off the top of my head is the Wii series.

I'm not saying releasing multiple Mario games is bad at all, its great for Nintendo fans that love the series, but I'm pretty sure nobody in their right mind would be mad if Nintendo made a few new IP's.

As I wrote in another thread today these are the new IPs I can recall of the top of my head for this generation: (the ones I have played and really enjoyed are in bold)

Wii... Series

Brain Training

Nintendogs

Disaster:DoC

Captain Rainbow

Nintendo Touch Golf

Big Brain Acadamy

Art Acadamy

Soma Bringer

Endless Ocean

Another Code

Zangeki no Reinglev

Flingsmash

Xenoblade

Maboshi

Rock and Roll Climber

Bonsai Barber

Eco Shooter 530

Jam with the Band

Polarium

Elite Beat Agents

Electroplankton

Hotel Dusk

Style Boutique

Flipnote Studio

As you can see their is a lot of them, but not many of them are traditional and 'high profile'.  The last 'hardcore' (I hate that term) high profile new IP Nintendo released was probably Pikmin

Dude whose heard of those games really? Wii series, Brain training and Nintendogs are the only names I'd think any average guy would recognize. The rest are really obscure (not bad, just obscure).

If we're talking big name series then Pikmin definitely is the last one Nintendo has made.
