Forums - Sony - Rumor: Kojima announcing major PS3 exclusive at TGS

I'm not sure how probable this is now that kojima's just started making games for the 360, but its still possible.

Kojima isn't working on 360, kojima production's B-team is. So this is very plausible, as it would be his and the MGS4 teams next project after peacewalker.

I think it's  Z.O.E 3 or Snatcher which would make sense for them to debut at TGS. Also what Kojima said about the exclusivity of MGS. It's true. MGS has appeared on tons of consoles (Handheld's included) both as Multiplatform and Exclusive. Yet they only find major success on Playstation consoles. MGS1, MGS2, MGS3, MGS4, MGS: Portable Ops, MGS: Peace Walker(Is so close to) have all sold over a million copies worldwide. But you look at the MGS that appeared on Nintendo and MS consoles and the success is not there.

I honestly think that Rising 360 won't outsell the PS3 version. I'd be willing to bet it's going to end up like FFXIII where the difference is  4:1 PS3

Kojima, on the other hand, hasn't directed a game that wasn't at least timed exclusive to a PlayStation platform since his MSX days.  Starting with MGS3, his last three titles were fully exclusive.

Well, he's already broken that record, Kojima's directing MGS3D himself.  Which probably means it's going to be much more than a simple port...

Actually does this mean the "main" MGS is moving to 3DS now?   Also, isn't the core ZOE team the guys who are working on Rising?

Don't get so over-excited by 3DS's current 3rd party support.

After amazing  MGS4 sales on PS3 its extremely unlikely MGS5 would be on 3DS.

Main series games will most likely remain on consoles.

Which proves my point, the lowest selling mainline MGS will be on a handheld

Major ? TGS ? If it were true, then I would say it's MGS5.

Do u knw how jpn devlopment works? They luk at whch console dus best in their markt and see whch console is doing well with their ppl and they make game for tht console. Jpn devs dont care about wht sales will be, its their vision whch is importnt, they will make their vision accrding to which system sells int heir country. mgs peace walker cud be on DS but kojima couldn't see a mgs of his vision on ds so it was on PSP the other system that is doing well in Japan.

dnt expct new mgs game on PS3.

Where do you get your info? Everything in your post is pure assumption. What's there to direct? If anything, we can expect enhancements as big Twin Snakes... which isn't saying much...

Doesn't he have more of a supporting role on Rising? It's not a full "Kojima-game" if I understood correctly.

Correct. Rising is being directed by Shigenobu Matsuyama.  Kojima is merely the executive producer.  He's been working primarily on Peace Walker since MGS4 released, as well as this other project, it seems.

I'm tempted to say it's Zone of the Enders.  It's not very popular in the west, which would fit with it being exclusive to ps3.  At the same time, it's not very popular anywhere, so it'd be hard to justify a new one with today's dev costs.  But Kojima's Kojima, so he does what he wants.

I know I am pretty late with this but I want ot add something. If guys have watched MS's E3. Kojima said In MGS2 Snake passes the baton to Raiden just Like I am passing the Baton to Matsuyama-san. That's soldifies that he doesn't have major roles on Rising.
