The rest of the world, PS3 will still outsell the 360, mainly because I don't think UK has the new slims yet?  And in Japan.. well, it's Japan...

also the elite and arcade units are getting price cut down to 249 and 149 so that could increase the sales as well but who would buy a old 360 when they have a great new one for $50 more but hey people will choose price over quality

Personally i don't know.

The new 360 is only out in US, here in UK it is like a month away from release.

However the 360's have had a price cut here. I was in town at the weekend and did not see one arcade anywhere as they were around £99. There were some elites still there for £150 with one game.

So i think it depends a lot on how much stock there are around. Obviously the cheap arcades will sell the most but if there are not many of them then that will take a big bite out of the overall sales for the week.

I notice already on places like Gamestop/Bestbuy etc.. they are saying out of stock already for the new 360. Which again asks the question how many were sent to retailers. Could they really get hundreds of thousands out to all shops in just 5 days? I don't think so.

So maybe not this week but most likely the following.

I didn't find the new Xbox 360 here in the KSA. I'll probably sell my old one and pick up a new one if I can find one.

Now as for the topic, I honestly don't know, I'm pretty sure it will next week. For how long can it sustain the edge over the PS3, that I don't know.

This week I don't know but because of word of mouth next week 360>P.S.3 for sure... If I had to pick one I would say the 360>P.S.3 week ending the 19th as well.

i'm in chicago and most of the retailers i've been to didn't have any in stock or only received a few units. 

I think it could do over 200K, at least over 150K. Combining cut price clearance sale of old stock and new form factor sku, should see a big boost in sales.
