I dont mind either.. all im interested in is the story! I just hope they can make the transition from the first game to the sequal a smooth one. So that powers, good/bad etc etc works, and makes sense. And not just do a new game.

Yes, yes you are.  I don't mind them as a general concept if that is the way the character was conceived, but it wasn't.  Cole already looked a certain way.  Unless they magically pull some time travel/he as warped by his powers/some random plot point in to explain why he looks that way, it is a HUGE disconnect with already existing lore and it is jarring to a lot of people (myself included).

What if in Empire Strikes Back Vader was instead skinny, wore white, didn't have the helmet and was played by Steve Martin, that wouldn't seem weird to you?

Meh like infamous 1 cole? You kidding right? He was just enough evil for me to like that character, this guy looks like a fucking boy scout, maybe a ribbon in his hair and a lipstick to finish the design...

Couldnt have said it better myself.  

Although I guess we can thank Sucker Punch for not making his jacket pink to match the rest of the look. 

I don't know I think I like wisecracking Cole, which is what I think the new one will be like.
