Wow, I was already sold on the 3DS. Now I'm super sold I guess.

Same here Can this thing get even better? TBH all of these features play second for me, the lineup alone is waaaaaaay more then enough for me to buy one

I don't want to spoil this but isn't Nintendo all about innovation? I mean, an archivement system will be clearly a rip-off and Nintendo do that...

It wont simply copy Microsoft's or Sony's achievement system, they will push their system further with more innovations of course.

Yep... you wont unlock achievments... you will unlock special friendcodes

Common, at this point on everybody is ripping of everybody here. I dont even know who did what first. Whats more important, is who did what better

Yeah, when Nintendo was questioned about an Achievement system they said that they have always been doing it. They just didn't put in a system to record them.

Part of the reason I love Nintendo as much as I do is that they don't rip off the competition.

Well, I guess it's ok. Nintendo deserves to do that once in a while, I mean, they almost never have done that while Sony and microsoft steal everything all the time.

What about the DVD?

DVD was not directly a competitors product. Sony never made DVD it was a format made by and for the film industry later adopted to gaming. I see nothing wrong with the game industry adopting formats and forms of entertainment from the music and film industry as those are not competitors.

Even if Nintendo's next console used BluRay's they wouldn't be really copying a technology from Sony as the film industry created the format. Also I highly doubt Nintendo would use a mainstream format again after all the piracy they are suffering with Wii.

Nintendo develops for the most part everything themselves. They don't tend to use other companies technologies. They don't steal they innovate and create new forms of entertainment. Example the Mini-disk for GameCube everyone was using DVD's but Nintendo used their own format.
