I'm assuming no IR in the splitscreen. I can imagine it would be difficult to do aiming in splitscreen because you only have 1/4 of a screen to aim at.

the first red steel had 4 player split screen. i dont think it would really affect the overall aiming for the player. (gonna try and explain this...doubt ill make sense) Tho the screens are smaller, that doesnt limit the players ability to move the wiimote. Moving two degree to the left (from center position) when in full screen would be the same as in moving 2 degrees to the left in 4 player split screen...its just a smaller screen.. tho players are gonna have to sit in a way that their wiimote can see the IR senor..of..have a few IR sensors laying around to use.

Yes, I am! Since this is a great alternative to actually have the choice of obtaining an updated game in a way, than not getting it at all on the Virtual Console service in it's original form.

I have to say, I am also the James Bond fan that is very critical about not having Brosnan in his original role, but I would let this slide so it doesn't deprive my enjoyment. I just hope they can implement that All Bond cheat that everybody's dying for, now that we got someone to replace Timothy Dalton and the fact that he doesn't want to appear on a Bond property anymore.

I welcome the changes they would made, as long as they don't let it astray from it's core. Seeing the locations on the trailer really got me going, so far I see what resembles are the Dam (no brainer), chemical facility, Severnaya suface installation, Archives and Streets of St. Petersburg. Those must be the 5 maps they were talking about...

For the hardcore gamers out there how said the graphics look bad, I'm sorry that you have such a high taste, that you will disregard this game by how it looks even if the gameplay can end being top-notch. Even last-gen graphics would look good enough for me, but this looks far better than that!

And the person who posted about Oddjob being cheap for using his "hat trick", that's saying the character Oddjob itself being cheap wether he's in-game or not! And since he's in is normal height, the "hat trick" is a compensation for his midget stature and I like that!!!

Yes, but not THAT excited

My order of excited-ness:

1. Conduit 2

2. Call Of Duty: Black Ops

3. GoldenEye

I am a huge fan of the original Goldeneye. Doesnt mean this game is gonna be bad cause Pierce isnt in it. I hate Daniel Craig as bond. But so what?

I am very excited. I played Goldeneye for years and the fact that I was a PC gamer didn't changed a thing. Not only the first person campaign was very good but also it unlocked some objectives only in harder difficulty modes, which made play it several times. The four players split screen was a blast and something not available in any other Wii shooter.

I don't think it will be as successful as the original but I think it will do pretty good.

Not excited.

I'm buying The Conduit 2 over this because:

1)as someone said before goldeneye  looks like a cheap cash in on nostalgia

2)REGENERATIVE HEALTH. i really don't understand why every FPS nowadays has to have regenerative health. i miss health bars and health packs...

3)the only atractive it has is 4player spliscreen, but conduit 2 does that too and i was quite fond of conduit's multiplayer modes before hackers destroyed the community.

maybe i'll change my mind if it turns out to be a good game, but i'm not buying day one.

1. WTF classic controller FTL.

Hopefully it's optional and they allow proper Wiimote aiming.

I dont, it would break the classicness of the game

Not at all.

Perfect Dark was better, and the remake on XBLA is excellent, near flawless even. But it has also aged tremendously. Considering this GoldenEye remake on Wii looks to be a significant step down when it comes to visuals, framerate and online functionality, I'm pretty sure it will be a mediocre affair at best.

Glad you brought up Red Steel with 4 player split because that was on my mind through this whole thing while reading about it not possibly working.  Worked great.  And this will be a yes purchase for me for sure.  Glad to see it coming back.  Don't care how many maps there are.  It's gonna be fun and memories all over again.  Every holiday, my brother and nephew and cousins always get together because we always know that the Nintendo consoles always have fun multiplayer without going online.  Now we will surely have to fire up the N64 to get back to the original afterward and even some more turok like usual.  Would LOVE to see Turok go back to it's roots and make a great looking game for the Wii.  Always supported that title until it jumped the Ninty ship.

Conduit 2 will be a definite yes too because I really enjoyed the original.

Consoles owned: NES, N64, PS1, GC, PS2, Wii.

Currently playing...

I finaly got to see the multiplayer vid, it sure looks like the guys are having a bloody good time! That's already a positive for me that the gameplay department is already top-notch. Now I feel like playing in the Archives map!!!
