i play real football, basketball, badminton and table tennis regularly. that's why when i sit down at my home, feeling like playing some video games, i wan "video games", Rpg shooting racing watever will do. wii sports?? wiifit? all these cant hype me up i am really sorry.
ppl out there get some outdoor sports n interact wiv more ppl instead of hiding in ur house hitting the air with wiimote, while u can hit a real tennis ball with a real racket. good luck

 Man, seriously, you're right.  Everyone should listen to you. Even if its too cold out, or raining, or snowing you should be outside playing those sports.  Or even if you don't have access to those courts and don't want to be ripped off at sports centers to use their facilities, you should still go play.  Even if you don't play them enough to bother investing the hundreds of dollars for equipment for all those sports and etc, you should still play.

Man, I think you just came up with an idea to eliminate 40% of the entire videogame industry by convincing people not to buy any sports games ever again.

No, he's not right and really has no relavance at all. Games are meant to be a source of entertainment and if people find enjoyment playing the likes of Wii Sports or Wii Fit then what's the big deal? I'd imagine that they could have played sports outside if they wanted but they chose to play a game instead, live with it.

 Did you seriously not get the point of my response?...

Maybe some people who don't currently get any excercise can benefit from moving around a bit. Why is it your business how they do it, and why would you criticize someone who might gain a positive benefit from playing a video game. I'm glad you get your excercise. Lots of people don't. Lighten up, maybe they will too.

Only good can come from uncouching couch potatoes.

gengka is just one of the (very common) people who assume that because they live one way everyone lives that way (or should live that way) ...

Personally, I work out everyday in the morning and I often come home at night (typically after a stressful day) and want to do something a bit more physical than sit on the couch and veg-out. One of my friends is a personal trainer and has no interest in videogames except for DDR, Guitar Hero and (now) Wii Fit; she simply doesn't enjoy sitting around "Doing Nothing" and watching tv or playing (most) videogames. What she gets out of videogames is far different from gengka but I expect genka would like every game she enjoys to stop being produced so he can have another WWII FPS ...

@darconi

The impression that I got from your post was that you think everybody should stop playing games based on sport like your opinion is above everybody elses. Everybody has a choice about whether they want to do it one way or the other, often it's probably both.

You yourself have said that you like different types of games which is fine but other people tastes are different which you pretty much don't seem to agree with. But in the end I highly doubt that 10 million people or whatever it is playing Wii Sports is going to disrupt your own playing habits so what's the big problem about what they decide to play?

~ Steam ~

Its not going to increase wii hardware by too much.

It should make it to 50k maybe just maybe 60k.
