This just happened to me in SMG2, and I was wondering if I'm alone or not...

More green and orange for me than red. The times I do do the same exact thing is when the strat is suppose to work but I botched it up.

What level took you TWO hours to beat in Super Mario Galaxy?

That's understandable.

That's how I play.  I remember playing the last  boss on Ninja Gaiden 2 on the hardest difficulty.  I played for an hour and a half and a buddy came by and made me go fishing.  I killed the boss on my first try when I got back.

True gamers don't need t3h internet.

I don't really get stuck on games.  The game that had me retrying the most were Fire Emblem PoR and RD as well as the Final stage of SMG2.  But for the first two a different strategy the next time around is obviously necessary and so you don't make the same mistake twice.   SMG2 though I could say on that last stage I just tried over and over before getting it done.
