I didn't see most of it, but it doesn't sound like I missed much. No megatons to be found here. Will probably wind up being the worst of the three.

I could see Nintendo taking it this year with Zelda reveal, rumored Donkey Kong revival and the 3DS. I just hope they don't spend too much time talking about Wii Party. I have a feeling Sony will be lacking in megatons too.

yeah, both sony and ms commited fatal mistakes for their conferences... leak their AAA games days before E3

Sony showed their games on purpose, wait and see what happens.

so you expect them to have a lot more than kz3, lbp2 and other stuff they leaked?

I don't think you know what "leaked" means.

People here never satisfied.

Pricing - They have existing Arcade and Elites in inventory and they want to clear those before the Slim is priced differently.  This is exactly what they have done in the past. So once those are cleared at the discounted $149/$249 prices they can have a price reduction on the new SKU for the fall sales season.  If they held off the slim they would be making more expensive units for no reason. If they introduced the new SKU at lower price point they would need to reduce existing Arcade/Elites even more.  I suspect this is also when you will see pricing for the Kinect SKU.  As someone mentioned before. The slims are ready and MS wants to get the boost in sales that this will give them ASAP.

As for the rest of the conference it did exactly what they needed for the 2010 sales season. They showed that Kinect works and it works very well across both games and the interface.  It was very cool. You may not like the games because they arent hardcore, but these will be big sales to the targeted audience.  They have fitness, they have games that make moms happy that family interaction and movement is happening.

Okay, I'm here and I was satisfied with every single conference up until this year.  You shouldn't make generalized blanket statement as if it was the absolute truth.

Why are you guys so against anyone else having an opposing opinion, secondly why is anyone even remotely suprised that MS's core audience, who was mostly ignored, is upset about it?

I look forward to this all year and I was let down.  I would think people should just be happen that Microsoft so-called "fanboys" can actually, truthfully state a problem with the company's conference.  I don't hear many fans of other companies doing that.  If I could go back in time I suppose I could lie and scream "Bloody heavens that was a great show!" would that be prefered?

i absolutly cannot belive this.

I expect them to have a plan. We'll see just how many new "megatons" it includes, but saying they made a fatal mistake seems premature, when they held events for showcasing these games. They weren't leaked in any way, they were shown to the press, it's a pretty important difference.

ms showed gears 3 to the press too....

it's just a prediction

And I'm just saying that I think your prediction is wrong.

Yes, the dance and fitness game looked very good.

The animal game, how did that look like? I missed that!

Terminal, over the top, cutness.  I think it was so cute, it causes the faces of core gamers to melt.

well, as I said no one expected MS confference to be like this.... and they also seemed to have a shiny confference

Watching G4TV.com and those people didn't seem to hot of the Kinect launch titles.

I think for all of the households that ALREADY have an Xbox, odds are good that if there's a daughter/wife/grandmother in the house, Kinect would be a likely purchase.

For all those households without out one, no. Assuming the Kinect kits are $150 on top of a $300 console, no. Everyone will not be buying this. That is simply not accessible enough. If that's the pricing scenario, most of those with casual interest who said "yes, I'd like to play that!" will end up saying "no, I won't pay that much."

I think the demographic for the 360 is the 18-30 male, which is less likely to have a daughter/wife/grandmother in the house.

What about a girlfriend?

Pixel Art can be fun.

Sony have all this so far, basically guaranteed except for both hardware points:

 PSN Premium

- LBP2

- KZ3

- Resistance 3

- GT5

- inFamous 2

- Agent

- Motorstorm 3

- Move

- Move games (SOCOM 4)

- New PSP?

- New PS3 models possibly

- Multiplat stuff (Assassins Creed)

They've won already, at least compared to MS's. Any surprises are a bonus.

Don't forget FFXIV!

and that is also assuming they have no other MEGATONS in store!

Sony/Nintendo can't do any worse than what MSFT just did.

Stupid that Microsoft put's the new 360 in the market like that. No time to promote AT ALL. Sony builded up a giant hype to september when it released. Now they released it in a low selling season. Now not many people will buy it , and when the holiday season is here the hype will be over. Maybey Kinect could boost the hype up in September/November but then Sony probally did their thing to boost in forms of GT5 , Move and price-cut. If you look at pure system selling points I think Sony is in favour. Tomorrow Sony will come up with another price-cut down to 250 or maybey even 200 for a 60 GB Slim. Cheap move price and still a lot of hardcore games.

This Microsoft's E3 whas the worst of the last few years. Espessially compared to last year.

Where are the games ? Yes , Kinect looks cool but they let down the hardcore this year badly. Gears is coming in 2011 and what's left is Fable III and Reach.
