Unfortunately no. Though I would agree it's probably $20 in materials. Don't forget that Nintendo has to buy parts from other companies. They don't product their components like Sony does. Nintendo has outsource them all. I would estimate about $100 for everything.
Though I wish it was only $20. Then they would be making even loads more cash only proving how smart they are in business even further :)

LOL, when you posted that I was thinking in Zelda currency
I think jayderru is right on the money. Nintendo sure as hell isnt loosing money on every Wii sold, but they arent creating a 100% mark up on their system either.

All of the consoles are made by Chinese subcontractors with parts built by Chinese manufacturers, this includes Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. Nearly all consumer electronics are made in China by companies like HonHai/Foxconn.
Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Lool no, that's way too high, it's probably around the cost of a bit of duct tape and 2 purple lunch boxes :
$84.60

When the Wii launched EA and Sega both stated the manufacturing cost was about 75USD. Now I know many people were sceptical saying it would cost more, but they are the only companies to put a price tag on manufacturing. I'd say 75$ is reasonable. Today those components might be cheaper to manufacture also Nintendo buying so much volume may have gotten the manufacturers to lower their prices.
Either way while Sony and MS were loosing profit on every single unit Nintendo was making at least 100$.

It used to be about $165 when it launched, not counting things like shipping, store cut and marketing. The profit was $50.
The margins stayed that way for over two and a half years because the shortage situation made it impossible for them to change manufacturing, which would have required a temporary slowing down of production. So until 2009 it was virtually the same cost, even though the technology could have been much cheaper if they could have modified manufacturing, which they didn't until last year.
Right now it's probably very cheap though, I'd say less than $100 or so..
