too crazy too be true, it would be totally too good, and sony it's going to screwed it.
dont dream about a best case scenenario and be happy if u get 3d compatibility in all games XP.

I know it's far fetched, but come on, there little PS4 teasers honestly got me thinking.. and if anything that I said is true.. then that's a HUGE suprise..
they distracted us with KZ3, INFAMOUS2, MOTORSTORM3, and LBP2.. all of which will support 3D AND PS MOVE ADVANCED MOTION GAMING.

You see, they were planning to take OTHER OS out since the SLIM didn't have OTHER OS to begin with, and just used "security reasons" as an excuse.. taking out OTHER OS frees up an SPU and that right there is 10-15% of extra processing power.. this will allow 3D games to work.. not only that, but allow games that don't use 3D to have improved visuals more so than those seen in UNCHARTED 2 or GOD OF WAR III.. Rumors are circulating that the PS3 is getting an interface overhaul redo, and PSN plus is releasing at e3. 3D gaming is launching on Playstation 3, and PS move is also launching later this year..
so.. Completely new interface More processing power PSN plus 3D motion gaming it can do everything the playstation3 can already do this means.. Playstation3 has evolved into Playstation4, or will do so this year.. and if sony rebrands it once again.. and bundles it with MOVE and pushes 3D like crazy (get a free ps4 with a sony bravia 3D TV) then its going to push an entire generation into the system. Imagine they launch early, without really launching.. PLAYSTATION 4 IS THERE TRUMP CARD =O |
this actually.......it's a pretty good thought.
Right now the PS3 is using 6 SPUs out of 8....the other 2 without use are "one" for safety and the other is for OS purposes....
and with that, i've to say that if this is true...it's an EPIC win.

it makes total sense. If the other OS removal does infact free up another spu to the point in which developers will be incouraged to use it for 3D, then Sony is brilliant.
I doubt we will see boxes with "PS4" on them, but dear lord.... what if ?

Well, everything leo-j said could happen. That would mean PS3 firmware 4.0, bringing a lot o big changes for the PS3 in a way that could be considered almost a new console (Sony hype!). Of course that's just marketing stuff, not really a PS4.
I don't understand the specs things, but can Sony overclock the Cell and RSX? I'm not talking about releasing unused SPU, I'm talking more the way of the PSP.
