That's certainly at least part of the reason but I've seen threads that have started as joke posts deriding the competition etc, sometimes even as a means of creating a talking point rather than actually trolling and invariably it ends up with 4-5 pages of mudslinging where people forget what was even in the opening post.

I dare you to do a thread like this, but as Leo-j suggested, replacing rap with one of the consoles/1st party developers/exclusive franchises etc.  What do you suppose would happen?

To be fair, that is a hard song to sing. Freaking easy to play though.

 

OT: My general feeling is that, if it was made after 1994, and it's not Green Day, it's probably shit. Be it rap, pop, or "rock" (that shit ain't REAL rock), it all tends to be ass-tastic nowadays.

Hip-hop and rap is generally crap, still crap can be found in many other music genre.

Sorry, but punk is bands like The Clash and Green Day, the farthest thing from emo. Okay so Green Day wears eye-liner and crap, but they're still not emo.

 

Also, rock music has been dead for years.

i absolutely don't like hiphop or rap too. in those clips you can see what i call very good music. i also understand it isn't the taste of everyone.

Good point. Good rock music evolved from rock into metal or progressive.
