Nintendo is clearly printing money with their WiiFit. It's odd that nobody else follow suit with a copy to rake in some of that money.

Even the multiples China Wii copies don't have their balance board. Why is this?

they can't copy Wii Fit.. sure you can make software like that but the name Wii Fit is way too powerful with the targeted audience..

I mean, to me its obvious that move and natal are going to have fitness games.

But good luck on beating wii fit, that thing was/is a phenomenon without proportions.

It has more to do with the software than the board.  Hence why so few third party titles make use of the board.

Replicating Wii Fit's success, much like replicating the success of the Wii itself, can't be done just by copying the hardware.

I think that they might make their own versions, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they have to make a balance board, Natal for example could use it's camera to make sure you're sticking to the exercise routine in the game, maybe screen your shape to check whether you're fat or skinny ...etc

it probably won't be as successful but it'll gather some attention imo

Perhaps making something similar to the board is hard to make without infringing on copyright laws?  I mean there's only so many ways  you can make a pressure sensitive board for gaming.

I would assume we are going to see exercise games with both Natal and Move though.

All the attention will be from the press. "Look how much better it is than Wii Fit, because teh Wii iz 4 gheyz lolololol!!!"

Man i love my wii bord. I even got it a nice ruber suit.. That thing has replaced the family dog in most households.

Microsoft wouldn't need a Balance Board since Natal will pretty much cover that.

Sony... Dunno.
