Probably not, I'm looking for the right Android phone.

Oh goody, it finally brought the iPhone up to speed with Android 4 months ago. The only thing it has an upper hand is the screen resolution, but from all benchmarks I hear, it is not much faster than the 3gs, and slower than the ipad. That is also slower by a bunch than the Android 2.2. All in all I expected far far more than what was shown.

I'm reading about this on Apple's website, and all in all, this new iPhone is still inferior compared to the new Android 2.2... lol, can you sail FAIL?

Lol, why would anyone buy it when you can just get a superior Android phone instead?

Hell no. Never getting anything Apple.

I would if I could afford a cell phone...

Still have two more years of contract lock-in so I'll be giving this model a pass. I get full iOS 4 functionality, even if I don't get the new hardware goodies, so I'm not itching too bad.

Considering that a single year has brought a vastly better screen, three new sensors, ~25% more battery life, a 50% faster processor, and a trimmer case made of some kind of super-ceramic... next year I might have to consider buying out what's left of my contract.

I've been waiting and waiting for one of two things:

1.  Verizon version

2.  Verizon contract to run out at a time where I have the extra motivation.

My contract's up, AT&T is pretty good signal-wise and traffic-wise in my area (Twin Cities) and they made the data plan a little cheaper (I won't go over the new limit, as I will use Wi-Fi for the heavy lifting.)  And now they have the updated version.

I'm in.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

And in response to the pro-Android crowd, I'll repeat the same thing I said about iPad or earlier iPhone models.  Part of the advantage of the iPhone is the App Store and all the dev resources being pored into the cheap, strong software.  You can't underestimate that feature in the desirability of the product.

The iPhone is not really your best choice of product to attack Apple on.  (Not even close.)  It's been nothing but successful and almost universally loved by everyone who uses it - even by those who would never buy a Mac product.  I don't know what else a product can do than have the by-far customer satisfaction rating for its market.  And in 2009.    So the people that actually use it, like it and feel they get a good value DESPITE the craptastic at times AT&T problems.  Sounds good to me.

*shrug*   One less person on my network clogging up the datastream.  Works for me.

Except that the apps on the Android are now far more numerous than before and don't have to put up with the shit from Apple. In fact more and more people go to the Android since what is the point of making an app and investing all this time making it just to have it mystreiously unappoved for one bullshit reason or another. Furthermore, because of the "app already exists that does this" eason for denying an app, better apps with the same functionality will rarely ever appear.

For portable device, my LG Pop does well enough for calling and texting with its touch screen feature.  For all gaming/music/video device i have my PSP Go for that =)

Besides, Iphone is too chunky for me, my LG Pop is a nice small, thin size cell phone, i dont like to carry stuff that makes my pockets look fat.

^ so, pspgo does make your pocket thin? ok
