Forums - Nintendo - Gettin Hyped for Epic Mickey

Earlier today I was playing Final Fantasy VI on my SNES because I was told it was the best FF ever/amazing game/I need to play it/ et cetera. Anyhow, I played for a few hours and eventually decided to take a break. When I went to put the game away, I decided to see what other SNES games I had. As I looked through my collection, I grabbed one of my most memorable childhood games:

I was stoked to play through it again. I forgot how hard it was and the lack of saving really sucked. But overall this was such a fun game. I really hope Epic Mickey will be as good or even better than this game.

I never played it. I played Aladdin a few times though. Capcom was amazing at making licensed games.

Yeah! My cousin and I used to play Aladdin when I went to her house when I was younger.

Capcom should be in charge of licensed games. They make them, yaknow, fun! :D

When you look at the pedigree of the lead developer for Epic Mickey I think the odds are that it will be an amazing game. Thats not to say that it wont be bad, but chances are it'll probably be a triumph.

The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse was fantastic, one of the best liscensed games ever. Aladdin was great too.

But Capcom's glory days are way past us, let's hope Warren Spector can make a good job. Too bad most Wii games are being kept secret until 1 or 2 months before release.

I can't wait to hear about it, we should start hearing stuff this week maybe?

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Well the games getting a 'graphical overhaul' after a poor reaction to some screenshots. Haven't heard anything new gameplay wise since ... the reveal actually, the lack of details made me completely forget about this game.

Back on the hype train !!!

In my opinion Twilight Princess is better than Ocarina of t... * gets shot *

Never played that one, but the moment I got my gameinformer and noticed the coverpage was on a Wii game, I was already on my way on the hype train!!

^click the license to level it up! Please, and thanks in advance!

I'm glad. I didn't like the art direction they took with the screenshots.
