After thinking about this some more and the prospect of any suck title coming to fuition, I believe the only way this would work is if the SF went the Tekken way.

So it would play more like Tekken than Street Fighter, the SF characters made fully 3D and given a more realistic look. Some of the moves toned down, so no helicopter style flying kicks that carry you about 20 feet.

The reason I believe this would be the best approach is because it would be unique and something Street Fighter hasnt attempted before. So rather than being just a re-hashed game it would be closer to an entire new game. I think the Street Fighter characters could make such a transition, but it would take alot of work.

If it was just a Tekken vs Street FIghter game like the many other Versus games out there, it would just be too much like those other Versus games and not really offering anything new axcept some of the Tekken faces but dont play or resemble anything like that should.

I really hope this is true. Though i hope they get the fight mechanics to a way that its fair for both series.

I wonder what mechanics would it go by... 2D? 3D? I hope for 2D, I'd really love to see what a 2D Tekken is like.

I'm guessing there has to be a compromise between 2D and 3D for this to work, I can't imagine Street Fighter with 3D models and mechanics.

Well, being honest, I'd say the same thing about Street Fighter.

But on subject, in previous Vs games it's always been easy to match up as the Vs part have either already been 2D fighting game characters or easy to convert not however a 3D fighting game and one so dominant as Tekken.

The best they can do is make 2 versions, one that looks like Tekken, one that looks like Street Fighter...more work sure but you get best of both.
