How dare she think for herself and express a personal opinion.  Makes you wonder why we ever allowed women to vote or work or something.

Let's get her fired!

FOR GOD'S SAKE.

We're not mad about her having an opinion, but the basis on which she sets the opinion!

Lol, that comment was just so funny. After 20 pages of people expressing that it's ok to critizise people for their opinions someone just blurts that out. Priceless.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Do you not understand my post?

Everyone can have an opinion that's fine.

The basis on which she sets the opinion is idiotic and that in turn does make her opinion idiotic.

I never said criticizing people for having an opinion is fine, but criticizing an opinion is.

Yeesh.

Oh no, I was agreeing with you. I found fastyxx's comment funny as we have already proven that opinions can be found false like 10 pages ago. Yet he just comes in and says the exact opposite just now.

So she has an opinion about Mario, so you bash her for it? What she said made sense. It is HER opinion. Don't jump down her throat because she has a critical opinion of a game you like.

This just isn't the point here, as was stated just a few posts ago.  The expression is: "everyone is entitled to their opinion".  That is, they are entitled to voice their opinion, but no where does it say that people are entitled to have their opinion respected.

If i said, "I think all Australian people are stupid, but it's just my opinion man", could I reasonably expect people not to challenge my opinion?  If you voice an opinion that other people think is silly, misinformed or ignorant, you can expect in any forum in the world, real or electronic that people are going to jump down your throat.

That is why it is very important that before you voice an opinion you have the ability to justify it, a rather important factor that many 'opinionists' seem to skip out.  People have agreed again and again in this thread that she has the right to state her position but obviously they don't believe that Morgan whatever-her-name-is gave sufficient or appropriate justification of her opinion.

This!

Apparently schools aren't teaching kids what opinions actually are. Opinions don't grant you immunity; in the real world you're going to have to back your shit up. Screaming over and over again that it's your opinion and that you're entitled to it means absolutely nothing and won't lead anyone to believe that said opinion is remotely educated.

Bull.  That exact character flaw can lead to a very lucrative career in talk radio or cable news.

Touche!
