Forums - Sony - Sony confirms Premium PSN service!

Yes folks, it's coming! Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president Andrew House has confirmed their plans to introduce the often-rumored PSN pay-to-play service in a recent fan in question & answer post. According to House:

"I can assure you that the current PSN as you know it will remain a free service. It is something that our competitors don’t offer and something that shows our loyalty to the PlayStation Community However, Kaz Hirai stated a few months ago that we were looking at a premium service to sit alongside the current free service and that objective has not changed. You’ll learn more about it very soon."

And by "soon" he might mean as early as next month at E3. Stay tuned.

I think I'm gonna get it when I get my PS3.

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

Awesome, Now Get some Cool Features on there and im in.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

I would pay just for x game chat :/

They said there would be a premium service ages ago

Awaiting all the Psn VS XBL thread after this is revealed then list of who offers more

and a lot of smug faces...

As long as we don't lose any features to it, then bring it on. It can't hurt to have extra services.

Good for them, but I'm not paying a penny more UNLESS you get free FF14 subscription with this premium service

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Which is as likely as Blizzard giving away WoW subscriptions for free.

Very badly written article.  The first part totally contradicts the second part.
