In reading the comments to this statement on other sites, people pointed out that this person contributed to Chrono Trigger and FF VII and really only was the main person on Chrono Cross.

In reading the statement itself, I think the person is full of wishful thinking. The lack of Flash support will cause problems for Apple (unless someone relents, NBCU and Time Warner videos will NOT be available on it).  Also, cell phones are generally replaced every two years ... at some point, someone (and it could be Apple) will invent a better "mousetrap."

Of course, to some people, Nintendo will need to prove the viability of the 3DS.

People don't realize that iPad and other Apple devices don't have an impact on Nintendo's sales and vis versa. They are not in the same market and the reason for buying them is different.

Also lol at "Wii and DS have been digging their own grave." The Wii and DS saved Nintendo and they are saving gaming. The market is in decline whenever the Wii isn't doing well. Video games would be going no where without them.

Umm....what?

People go to Apple and Nintendo for two different experiences.

IPad especially doesn't replace GameBoy/DS/NextDS. In case he forgot, Nintendo still has IPs that people, y'know, still want to play. They also have some talented first party software teams which Apple can never match IMO.

This guy just reflects the mindstate of all Japanese 3rd party developers right now-  F**k Nintendo

I must say i got a android phone about 2 weeks ago, and i must ask how someone buys a cellphone that go on-line without flash ? I mean flash is on what 90% of web sites to day and almost every video is on flash format... I think that all that apple got was lucky for android not coming any time sooner...

Android also has great games , but i would not change the best android game for a good DS game, just not the same , and i think that is the problem the experience has nothing to do with a real video machine even if the graphics looks better than a DS, the gameplay is just not that deep by any means ...

I'd just like to point out that Yuji Horii, the creator of Dragon Quest wrote Chrono Trigger.  Masato Kato was just an editor and added some imput to the story afterwards.  He had about as much say in the story as Kitase or Akira Toriyama.

That said, NINTENDO IS DOOMED!
