Forums - Nintendo - Warioland Shake It Wii

I liked it. The boss fights were totally awesome.
But it gets very repetitive after a while.

It's definitely a beautiful game (even with Wario in it. ) with great animation. The level design is top notch (with a lot of "ah ha!" moments) and the bosses are tough but always satisfying.

I found that it's only big problem was that once you beat the game, I never really felt the need to go back and play it (even with the challenge coins to collect). It's a great 2D Platformer though, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and challenging platforming adventure.

it was pretty awesome, but....
you feel like taking a break of galaxy 2?
did you 100% finish it already?
wow

No I am in the 90's with stars and 40some comet coins. But, I lplayed it nonstop late saturday night and Sunday also played it a ton Monday and Tuesday. I normally do  not play my games like that and I was wanting to take a small break because of it.

Your are lucky! My mom usually tell me to go play outside to take a break

Gorgeous game, but it's honestly nowhere near as good as Wario Land 1-4/VB. I wish R&D1 (now SPD1) had made it. :/

Nintendo did some marketing, but in the end Wario Land is a 2D platformer focused on exploration unlike NSMB Wii which is very much skill based. If you just rush to the end of a level in Wario Land, it's probably not going to be fun. You really have to take your time and search in every corner for secrets. 2D Mario you can play like you want, hence it's meeting most gamers expectations of what a platformer should be. All the biggest selling 2D platformers require a good amount of skill while I can't think of any big hits that relied more on exploring the levels or solving puzzles.

As for how many levels there are in Wario Land: After the short tutorial level at the beginning there are five continents with four levels and a boss each, plus a final boss. Additionally there are a dozen hidden levels which are more challenging. If you go for 100 %, it should take at least 20 hours to complete this game.

Thanks for the level info and yes I am wanting to 100% it

good luck with tryin to finish it 100%

if I remember well, boss challenges really gets tough in the end

but if you like 2d games like metroid, Im sure you really are goin to enjoy it

Nintendo made me a gamer so I'd be stupid to ever try to forget that                                             like so many people nowadays

Great game! I liked the level design and the bosses... also the crisp visuals, sadly the game doesnot support true 16:9

The presentation was really awesome and the 2D flair matched into the game. Despite the presentation, it was a mediocre plattformer IMO.

Take a look at my photos on flickr

I am a huge fan of this game for all of the reasons that people have already given. Also, there is a lot more depth to it than it gets credit for. Some of the missions are extremely challenging.
