Forums - General - I could join the army at 16 but can't play COD until 18?

Basically it is flawed logic, they don't want kids exposed to violence yet they are fine with them being involved in the military.

I do own Call of Duty, I don't have any plans tp join the army but, why are the rules like they are?

Okay, please don't act like there isn't a world of difference between the two.

Personally I blame the crusade and blame culture against video games...and Wii Fit.

So you're saying that even though the ESRB is a GUIDLINE and the army serves much more constructive purposes than video games you think that it's unfair?

CoD is also much more violent than the army.

Kimi wa ne tashika ni ano toki watashi no soba ni ita

I will never leave you

Flawed logic is flawed.

One is a past time and the other is a career that trains you in many fields. There is no comparison.

Well...

In CoD you can teabag the enemies dead corpse, while shouting "I fucked your mum!"

COD > Real Life.

Not justifying anything.... just correcting and clarifying.

Well, there you have it.

BTW, you can play COD at any age as long as you the approval of the guardian/parent. I don't remember a 12 year old joining the army as long as he/she has their parent's signature.

You have a point there

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I can go fight in the army and die for my country at 18, but I can't drink until I'm 21?
