too expensive for a 1.3mpx camera and a cmos sensor.

Even if that was all that was in it what about all the custom software inside it that makes it, you know, work?  Or are you saying you should only be paying for the cost of materials....because if thats true then all games should cost less than a dollar because the software that is on the disc is not worth anything....according to you.

OT - $150 is not too much if it comes with a great game or 2.  The Rock Band and GH franchises showed that people will pay for the hardware if the software is worth it.  RB wouldn't be the same game if you weren't using the custom controllers.  The controllers are an INTEGRAL part of the experience.  Likely whatever games come with Natal will be the same.

We'll have to see next month at E3.

still it not 150$ that almost as much at the console itself which provide way much more.

using bad example i think rockband and guitar hero are rip off, that people are easily misguided it's another side on the coin.

if natal camera was a standalone device 150$ sound about right in the end it's a cmos 1.3mpx sensor and infra red burst that all hardware may not even excess 50$

It all makes sense now. Edge hates M$. That explains the scores.

Quite a discrepancy unless they want us to all buy new elites. We could donate the old ones to prisons, hospitals and... the Mormons? They could stand to lighten up.

Unless there is a fully interactive 'workout' with our choice of vg characters I ain't buying.

Microsoft is feeding prices into the wild in order to make people think that Natal is going to be expensive. Then when they stand up during the E3 press conferrence  they are going to deliver a price point which is much lower than what people think its going to be because of these rumours. That way its going to seem cheap to many people because they were preparing for a price which was much higher than what actually eventuated.

I am pretty sure that $150 is far too much to achieve their goals. Remember they want most Xbox 360 users to buy and upgrade so it cannot be too much more than the base price of software which is $60. Many of the earlier estimates used more expensive TOF cameras as the basis for the higher expected price whilst these have never eventuated.

The way you put it makes MS plans look a lot like CONTROL's counter-intelligence tactics and techniques in "Get Smart".

@Alby_da_Wolf

Squilliam's view on M$s business plan for Natal is not far from the way M$ runs their company, by manipulating people/companies, etc, etc. I wouldn't put it pass them to try this. What makes me smile tho, is the respect the M$ rabbid fans still give them with these kinder antics they pull.

Playing and finishing games first>>>>>>>>>>Then talking!

Opinions are subjective and just like moods, can change.

TOP 12: Deus Ex, Shadow Man, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturn, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Metroid Prime, Zelda (series), Uncharted (series), FF Tactics, Persona (series), Demons Souls, Vagrant Story.

MOST WANTED: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Last Guardian, ICO/Shadow OTC HD

Things to note;

* M$ continually rips people off with their accessories (do u honestly think Natal will be cheaper than their way overpriced hard drives?).

* There is now and has been other sites/companies quoting similar prices for Natal.

* Things are always much, much more expensive in the E.U/Australian regions.

* It would have cost them a pretty panny to develop and produce each unit.

* Weather or not the 360 gets a price cut, the average joe is gonna see a large price increase.

* $150 is expansive no matter which way u spin it... Heck $100 is! The system costs around this price.

* The 360 has much more hardcore gamers than the other platforms. Do u honestly think most of these are going to get into party/puzzel/exercise games?

So, so many things to consider... It is going to be fun to watch.

It's pretty expensive. People that are saying that Natal has more value than the competition is also assuming that everyone who buy's a Wii or a Move will buy 3 extra controller's on the spot as well. Natal is $150 for 1 player as well as four player, if your buying it for yourself and maybe a girlfriend, then it's pretty steep considering no software has been announced (unlike with the Wii and Move).

I think it's more like Microsoft throwing prices out there and then manipulating everyone to think it's expensive and then introduce it for $100 at E3. Edge usually aren't wrong when it come's to rumour's and considering it's the same guy with the Gears of War 3 leak I'd put more value on this rumour than other's.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

That could be possible.
