Hmm your Wii collection is actually about the same size as mine currently is (I had a ton more games at one point, but I have since sold many of them.) I see you got a lot of the good ones covered already, but here are some more I might recommend:

AAA Games

Monster Hunter Tri (one of Wii's best 3rd party games, with tons of depth and exploration. Also good online system.) i am waiting for E3 for this one, capcom always re-release their games

Little King's Story (HIGHLY overlooked 3rd party game on Wii) added to list =]
Zelda: Twilight Princess i want this game badly but i can't find it anywhere =/
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition already own the Gamecube AND the PS2 versions and i didn't like the game as much as others
Mario Galaxy 2 (Have yet to play it, but from the several reviews I have seen and read, it looks amazing) this isn't released yet (i went to buy it earlier) but its a must buy for me

AA Games (great games worth picking up at $20-$40 but not quite full price worthy)

Mario Strikers (very solid and addictive online system) added
Warioware Smooth Moves (ESPECIALLY if you plan on playing multiplayer) added
Zack and Wiki (one of the best, most creative uses of Wii's controls) i already played and finished this game one of the best wii mote uses indeed
House of the Dead: Overkill oh how did i forget about this? =s
Muramasa yes! loved this game i wanna own it.
Dawn of Discovery (A must if you like RTS/ God games) added
Super Monkey Ball: BB (actually a very fun game, packed with content. Like Wii Sports mixed with Mario Party, and a fun single player game as well) yup im a fan of these games btw
Big Brain Academy (surprisingly fun brain game, especially when going against friends) added

DS:

NSMB is it very different from NSMBWii?
Yoshi's Island DS (at least if you like the first Yoshi's Island. I'm a bit biased, because the one on SNES is one of my favorite games) yes i liked Yoshi's Island,  i never understood the hate it got.
Clubhouse Games (tons of well made games in one) added
Mario Kart DS (overall solid addictive game, great online) is it different from Wii version?
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia this is already on my list i love the Castlevania games =]
Rythm Heaven (frighteningly addictive and unique) added
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (self explanitory, it's a handheld pokemon!) i'm waiting for Black / White
Animal Crossing DS (charming addictive sim game, that goes well with the DS features and portability) lots of people recommended me this

thanks

btw just a note if the game is a PS2/Wii game i might already own it on PS2 (such as manhunt)

To answer your question, NSMB on DS is sort of a poor man's NSMB Wii. Same basic gameplay, but the levels are a bit uninspired compared to the Wii version, and the game is a bit shorter. However, it also much cheaper than NSMB Wii, and still a great game by its own merit. The multiplayer is the highlight of the game. It's like the equivilant to Super Mario Bros 1, while NSMB Wii is the equivilant o Super Mario 3; still a great game, but a bit more simplified from the Wii version.

Mario Kart DS is somewhat similar to the Wii version. IMO the online system is a little worse than the Wii's, while most of the levels are better on the DS version. More of a tradiional Mario Kart game obviously with traditional control.

Super Mario Galaxy 2- Platformer yup
A Boy and His Blob-Puzzle platformer can't find this =/ i had the original and this looks a lot better
Sonic and Sega All star Racing - Kart Racing i played the demo on PSN , they should've called it Sonic and Sonic and Sonic all star racing : Other old Sega characters included out of the box!

Nintendo confirmed backwards compatibility last I heard.

definitely get the World Ends With You
all the castlevania games for the DS are great (portrait not so much)
Advance Wars games are good
Chrono Trigger if you haven't played it
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil's Survivor is great
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks are good
Professor Layton I hear is brilliant
GTA Chinatown Wars can be fun
metroid prime hunters is good if you can find it and you like those games
Soul bubbles is a rather unique game
and if you like metal slug you could pick 7 up
the DS fire emblem remakes (of the japan only SNES ones) are worth a look to

committing to get all the good DS games could be very bad for your wallet BTW

@TheVoxelman on twitter

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

de Blob (fun platformer where you go around coloring the world)
A Boy and His Blob (puzzle platformer, fun and somewhat touching)
Boom Blox Bash Party (forget the stupid name, you need to bring down blocks/destroy structures by throwing various things at them, lots of fun with friends, , you can create your own levels, lots of free levels online)
Dead Space Extraction (on rails shooter)
Endless Ocean: Blue World (immersive diving game with lots of pretty marine life, not for people who just want to shoot... though this version does have sharks that can make you loose air from your tank if you don't calm them)
LEGO Indiana Jones (Lego. Indiana Jones.)
Link's Crossbow Training (crossbow training game with the Wii zapper, very enjoyable)
Excitebots (an out of this world version of Excite Truck, bug shaped cars with crazy stunts)
Rabbids Go Home (BWAAAAA! Crazy collectathon, and you get to customize and abuse a rabbid in your wiimote to boot)
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (not really horror by today's standards, more of a psychological thriller with great atmosphere. It bothers some that you can't fight the monsters but only [try to...] run away, I found it heart poundingly refreshing)
Wii Fit: the games are actually lots of fun!
Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip (you feel the wind in your hair. Get it if you have a balance board)
Wiiware: Cave Story, Lostwinds 2, Nyxquest

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin
