Hmm your Wii collection is actually about the same size as mine currently is (I had a ton more games at one point, but I have since sold many of them.) I see you got a lot of the good ones covered already, but here are some more I might recommend:
AAA Games
Monster Hunter Tri (one of Wii's best 3rd party games, with tons of depth and exploration. Also good online system.) i am waiting for E3 for this one, capcom always re-release their games
Little King's Story (HIGHLY overlooked 3rd party game on Wii) added to list =] Zelda: Twilight Princess i want this game badly but i can't find it anywhere =/ Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition already own the Gamecube AND the PS2 versions and i didn't like the game as much as others Mario Galaxy 2 (Have yet to play it, but from the several reviews I have seen and read, it looks amazing) this isn't released yet (i went to buy it earlier) but its a must buy for me
AA Games (great games worth picking up at $20-$40 but not quite full price worthy)
Mario Strikers (very solid and addictive online system) added Warioware Smooth Moves (ESPECIALLY if you plan on playing multiplayer) added Zack and Wiki (one of the best, most creative uses of Wii's controls) i already played and finished this game one of the best wii mote uses indeed House of the Dead: Overkill oh how did i forget about this? =s Muramasa yes! loved this game i wanna own it. Dawn of Discovery (A must if you like RTS/ God games) added Super Monkey Ball: BB (actually a very fun game, packed with content. Like Wii Sports mixed with Mario Party, and a fun single player game as well) yup im a fan of these games btw Big Brain Academy (surprisingly fun brain game, especially when going against friends) added
DS:
NSMB is it very different from NSMBWii? Yoshi's Island DS (at least if you like the first Yoshi's Island. I'm a bit biased, because the one on SNES is one of my favorite games) yes i liked Yoshi's Island, i never understood the hate it got. Clubhouse Games (tons of well made games in one) added Mario Kart DS (overall solid addictive game, great online) is it different from Wii version? Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia this is already on my list i love the Castlevania games =] Rythm Heaven (frighteningly addictive and unique) added Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (self explanitory, it's a handheld pokemon!) i'm waiting for Black / White Animal Crossing DS (charming addictive sim game, that goes well with the DS features and portability) lots of people recommended me this

thanks
btw just a note if the game is a PS2/Wii game i might already own it on PS2 (such as manhunt)

To answer your question, NSMB on DS is sort of a poor man's NSMB Wii. Same basic gameplay, but the levels are a bit uninspired compared to the Wii version, and the game is a bit shorter. However, it also much cheaper than NSMB Wii, and still a great game by its own merit. The multiplayer is the highlight of the game. It's like the equivilant to Super Mario Bros 1, while NSMB Wii is the equivilant o Super Mario 3; still a great game, but a bit more simplified from the Wii version.
Mario Kart DS is somewhat similar to the Wii version. IMO the online system is a little worse than the Wii's, while most of the levels are better on the DS version. More of a tradiional Mario Kart game obviously with traditional control.
