Software numbers coming out of NZ for a number of 360 and PS3 games should get a wee boost as EB games goes into massive sales mode with 50% off for some games and $30 off for others (note new games sell for $100+ so $30 off =/= 50% off. 50% off = $55 - $65).
So I walk in and first I see Bayonetta 50% off and think "hmmm, tempting". Then I see Resonance of Fate 50% off and think "I've heard some interesting stuff about this, it might be worth a shot at that price". Then I see FFXIII 50% off and think "Wow, this is a good deal, and it's about time I gave a FF game a go". Then I see Ratchet and Clank: a Crack in Time 50% off (I nearly didn't spot it :-o) and I think "this is one of my most wanted from 2009, I'm getting it now!"
So I got R&C. Couldn't justify getting more than one game even at that price.
Other games I saw with big discounts: Darksiders (only 360), Bioshock 2 (all platforms, that one was tempting too), Ironman 2 (lol), Where the Wild Things Are (didn't even know this was a game), AvP (all platforms). And many more besides (unfortunately not Heavy Rain, it's selling too well I guess). I didn't look too closely at the 360 games, but there was a table and a half of 360 game cases, and only 1/2 a table of PS3 game cases, so there were a lot more offerings for 360 fans.
Did I make the right choice? I'm certainly not suffering any buyer's remorse because R&C is one of my favourite franchises of all time.
