So, on Friday 21st May I recieved my copy of ModNation Racers from Amazon.co.uk. I saw the game footage at E3 2009 and instantly loved it.
But a couple of weeks back people started to complain about the load times that had been uploaded in a video. This did not put me down as I will not dislike a game simply because of load times. But many people have complained about the game etc.
So I start playing, the load times, well they are normal. I do not see the problem. Sure it takes a couple of minutes to get into an online race, but what's the big deal. I have waited much longer to get into a game on MW2.
And now, a few days after it has realesd i see people complaining about the load times, well can't people for once actually say something good about this game. The load times arent bad, and it is a very good and fun game in my opinion.

SaviorX said: You have to understand- loading can break great games (Mass Effect 1). It is hard to enjoy what is most likely an excellent title when technical things beyond a player's control get in the way.
Also, there have been exclusives with negligible load times, so it is also hard to go from that, and then take what seems like a step backwards. |
Well the loading times haven't broken the game for me.
People were complaining and complaining. It comes out, loading times are slightly longer than normal but I've experianced worse, much worse.

kowenicki said: well the load trimes are wayyyy too long (up to 3 mins is not acceptable)...
it is something that the devlopers have admitted so if they say its an issue then its an issue
but if it is going to be fixed then it isnt a biggie.... just an annoyance until it is patched. |
Most I have experianced is <30s
Up to 2 mins waiting for an online game.
