Also, on topic

I love how people claim that the existance of bad games, rather than the lack of good games is what can kill a platform. Note how the consoles with the most shovelware are the PS2, Wii, DS? Which coincidently will be the 3 highest selling consoles by the time they're done. High sales breed shovelware. Shovelware does not in any way breed low sales

Yes, but each of them also has had their Marios, Zeldas, Final Fantasys, Metal Gear Solids, Wii Sports etc. Without good games and popular franchises, and only shovelware, a platform is doomed to failure. These are the franchises that push a platform ahead of its competition. After it's established itself, the shovelware follows.

If a platform is launched and has only shovelware, how is it going to gain any traction in the market?

If you are only stealing the good stuff I hope I get all three trauma games on BD for 60.

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!  Can you imaging the Trauma games in HD...?  Altus has been on a roll, and I can't help to think that this would be a VERY possible scenario...

The Trauma Center games always had this cartoony, anime feel to them and I sure as hell don't want HD tumors in my patient.

You're got somewhat of a point their, but I have seen animation benefitted from a HD boost from Blu-ray (smoother motion, cleaner lines, less artifacts, more vibrant).  But an animated feature and a video game are two different beasts.  I don't think a game will benefit as much such as the Trauma series, but I can see some improvment.

High definition doesn't affect a game's art style.

Never said it did.  But Atlus could retool the game at a higher resolution that can take advantage of some of the factors I mentioned.

Wait, but the Wii has a different audience then the PS3. If the PS3 had games like The Conduit or Madworld it would more then likely sell much better then the Wii version.

I dont even care about the HD visuals.  They can leave that for whatever imitator comes along and does house or grey's anatomy.  I just want my fun operation style gameplay with a little more variance.

Wait, Sony is going to limit what publishers do with Move? Nintendo setting limits on what publishers could do is exactly why third parties wanted to jump ship to Sony several generations ago. Sounds to me like this could blow up in their face. The thing I would be most worried about if I was Sony would be having enough support for this peripheral.

Translation: If it sucks, we're not stealing it

Sony gets respect for not stealing the sucks :)

This following comment is not trolling.

(deep breath )

Is this not just Sony admitting Move is essentially WiiHD??????

I am very surprised that Sony have pointed gamers towards Wii in their thoughts at all for Move. I mean they should have said, Dont bother replicating Wii games. This tech is miles btter and can do loads more. Not leave the bad Wii games behind, ( in other words bring us the good ones and ideas in HD ).

If I worked at Nintendo, I would be feeling very unafraid of Move after this comment.

Just the way I took the comment.

LOL, people always said that! Every company say it before releasing a new hardware! Of course there's going to be lots of shovelware!

Sony got my respect for that. Knowing them they WILL work with third parties and their first party wont even be up for questioning. With the launch in July they should have some great E3 offerings. This is going to be a huge blow to the Wii crowd when the hardcore catches sight of Sony's offerings with the new peripheral.

It's kind of annoying constantly hearing you speak for this "Wii crowd," when you're not among them. I understand you don't like the system, but that obviously does not apply to all of us, especially those who prefer the Wii over HD consoles in the first place (which has more to do than just motion controls).

I personally have both HD consoles myself, yet so far I have no plans on getting this thing.

Just keep the excitement to yourself, and others who share your enthusiasm, rather than trying to turn this into a tool for fanboy wars.

On topic, I hope this works out for them. Making these kinds of games isn't as easy as it may seem...
