The bias I think comes from VGChartz being an unofficial site. Now if the industry started paying for the information, then people would except it MUST be accurate, even without any other change.

terrible. N4G is probably the most accepting of it, and they call it a bs site. So ya, not good.

Also, changing the numbers mid week doesn't help.

Mostly the reason seems to be that VGChartz is new.. but it seems to be getting better and more accurate all the time. Also, NPD has mounted a huge PR offensive against VGChartz.

I think people are being won over by Vgchartz though, just look at how many users are online nowadays and the spurr of new members lately! Only a couple of months back, the site had a lot less traffic than it does now.

My forums (28,000 members, global coverage) are staring to accept their validity more and more because I vouch for them. Only a few morons remain that probably will never trust VGC no matter what happens. Some people just set their mind with no intentions of being persuaded to any other option.

At other sites I've seen, it's 50/50 as of late.

I think the longer this generation goes and the more apparent that our numbers are within 5% of NPD and worldwide sales then this site will be thought of as trustworthy. Really the first time i heard of this site I thought of it as another nextGenWars website. lol

Haha, I forgot about NexGenWars. I found that site first, and went there for a day or 2 and was dumbfounded as the numbers changed before my eyes, then I found this and never went back. Actually, every couple months I go back there for a good laugh.
