Personally I think it's worse than piracy too.
Pretty much all pirates would never purchase all the games they pirate and probably wouldn't even buy the respective console or accessoires.
But someone who buys games 2nd hand wants to own the game and is already willing to pay for it, so pretty much every used game equals one lost sale for a dev/publisher.
Just wait a bit. New games get cheap very fast, so there's no need to buy them used. You also get the best quality.

No your not a bad person. But you should be aware that as none of the money you spend goes to the publisher, they in turn will be less likely to fund the devs next game as well as they might.

It depends. If you buy 55$ games from gamestop used, then yes you are a bad person. Fork over the extra 5 and buy the game new for the devs. If you buy it used for a much cheaper price, then no, it seems worth it then, not some lousy 5 dollars that gives greedy gamestop all the money.

If publishers were smart they would add a brain scanner to the games and let the game self-destruct if the owner thinks anything close to "sell it".
