I think "If you can find a PS3 anywhere in North America that's been on shelves for more than five minutes, I'll give you 1200 bucks for it." and "The PlayStation 3 is a computer. We do not need the PC." should've been there! But great list anyway!

who said that? lol

I know Jack Tretton said the first quote, not sure who said the second.

Phil Harrison. It's from 2006.

According to the article he said there is no need for PC because of PS3 having Linux. Kinda funny when you read it today.

herp derp I'm just going to ignore the fact that Saturo Iwata said that in 2003, when gamers did not buy online games, and thus he was completely correct when he said it, and now that it is no longer true he no longer believes it.

Stop your trolling IGN and just go the fuck out of business

Lol, lighten up. And it's not like the PC had popular online games like Battlefield 1942, Diablo 2 or Warcraft III at the time, not to mention Halo on the Xbox.

Uhm rainbird? halo, BF1942 and Warcraft III are mostly splitscreen multiplayer or lan games, the online component was at most, icing on the cake. And you know that using PC games is irrelevant, because Iwata is obviously talking about the console market (what with that whole, representing a console manufacturer thing :P.

WRONG. As a PC gamer since I could, well, play games, you're wrong. All three of those games were hugely popular online games. In 2003, online games on consoles were not extremely popular, but on PC online gaming had been going on since the mid-90s. Ever hear of Quake 3 or Counter-Strike?

^ yep yep, quake 3 and unreal tournament online were around way back in the old days. and what about everquest? geez. online gaming has been around forever.

i think the best one is the harakiri one. i wonder what would've happened if he really committed suicide.

Yeah, even a GameCube fanboy like myself knew for a fact it would end up on PS2. I'm surprised they didn't put it on Xbox.

xbox doesn't sell japanese games. zomg! (who was it?)
