A game title alone does not warrant a purchase. I'll have to know a lot more before I decide on that.

Not deciding until I see some gameplay. I'll have no problem skipping it if it's some action filled bonanza like "Lightning Bolt Action" implies.

I suppose you didn't like MGS3, MGS2, Portable Ops. And won't be getting Peace Walker either? |
Didn't play, nope, didn't play and that one is a maybe becuase I want the green psp. I never got around to playing 3 because I found out it wasn't a squel to 2 (that ending had me dying to find out more). I'm all for telling how it started but do it after you are done moving forward (like SE and ff7 story, still not finished but made Crisis Core).

MGS3 is apart of the series prequel to all of the main games you state you are focused on playing. Peace Walker is the sequel to MGS3 which comes before MGS1. In essence you're still Snake....just the real snake and not the clone.

We don't know if it is yet. For all we know, it could take place between MGS2 and MGS4 when Raiden is on his "mission."
@ Lurker
Kojima himself said that it will be a stealth game at E3, so even if it's much more action oriented, at least we know that it won't be purely action.
i dont think that matters. He figures he can make more money like that. I see his point though.
i love metal gear so i'll buy it, if its kojima then thats great, if its not it would be interesting , just hope its not snakes revenge 2
