Rent Alan Wake and buy RDR. Or if you can buy both buy both. But if it comes down to one or the other I would do that.

looking at the hype of RDR, I feel like it was a bad decision to release Alan Wake on the same day.
If Alan Wake would have been delayed 2 weeks, I think it would have had much better sales.
I was facing the same decision between the two games, and chose RDR as well.

I would go for red dead. As with most sandbox games you can probably play the game again, and it will be a different experience. Also I think it has multiplayer.
After the whole brutal legend and Viking fiasco (both games were within 30-40$ within a month) I am noting buying new unless I absolutely need to.

good choice red dead is the most addictive gam I played since Mass Effect 2!
I would personally get RDR. I heard AW is short. So maybe rent that ?

I hate to say it, being an "Xbox fanboy" and all....but RDR. Never let it be said I'm biased. Also, know this, best game so far released this year, Bayonetta or RDR.
