Forums - Microsoft - Wada surprised at Versus XIII 360 reactions.

Sony fans reactions make me wonder what how the Nintendo owners felt as SE quietly slipped FFVII onto the PS1. Nintendo owners have taken that situation gracefully.

Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada has responded to recent reactions of Final Fantasy Versus XIII possibly coming to Xbox 360. Apparently, he’s surprised.

Written in a Twitter update, Wada basically says that he’s surprised by the recent uproar on the internet about Final Fantasy Versus XIII possibly coming to Xbox 360 and REMINDS PEOPLE THAT NOTHING IS YET DECIDED.

E3 is around the corner. Hopefully, Final Fantasy Versus XIII will make an appearance.

Thanks, Kagari.

Now, this part I don't get. Because the statement seemed clear enough that the game will not appear on any other console but the playstation 3.

I don't believe Nintendo fans were happy either, though they probably weren't as vocal as the PlayStation crowd. Either way, the move back then was less about $ and more about fidelity (CD vs Cartridge).

And back then, it was Squaresoft.

Couldn't have been put better by any other poster than CGI- /salute.

I owned an SNES and clearly remember when Sony was supposed to have some sort of attachment for the SNES using CD as the storage media, or some crap, kinda like the Sega CD to the Genesis. I was a little upset about FFVII being on the new sony playstation, but then I just bought the system anyways, and not for FFVII at the time but for Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, and then FFVII, Twisted Metal, Legend of Dragoon, Valkyrie Profile, Legend of Legaia, Kartia, etc, etc.

Anyways back then it was Squaresoft and they focused on quality games which still were able to make them lots of money anyways. Wada probably lived in the US for a bit and adopted the greedy dumb piece of s.....t corporate America mentality. Yes the goal of any business is to make money no matter what (even "non profit" organizations make their money), but hurting a company's name is an effect that is felt long term, and we can compare the mediocre stuff $quare has been pulling off vs the past

Today: Nier, SO4, Last Remnant, FFXIII  COMPARED to: Xenogears, Legend of Mana, FFVII, Chrono Trigger, Bushido Blade, Brave Fencer Musashi, Parasite Eve, Chrono Cross, Vagrant Story, Einhander (how can I forget the best shmup of all time), etc, etc. Yup the quality has fallen, but it's ok, Wada gets to laugh all the way to the bank while these forums have the 360 vs PS3 crowd over the fact that $quenix is putting out shit mp's.

P.S. Wada hangs out with the Pokemon devs it seems lol, put out a shittier product each time and people still eat it up for the name.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

Since the last FF main game went multi and only managed to be decent I really hope this one doesn't.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

what i dotn' get is why people care soo much.

you still get the game. gol its like if someone came to work and normally brings you a donut everyday, then one day he starts bringing donuts for everyone.

why are you having a hissy fit, you still get your donut everyday, why should you care if other poeple are getting one now too.

just shows how mature the video game world is

it would be ok if they didnt throw away half of the content... but of course they would.

who else was disapointed being in nautilus park and seeing all those blocked exits to other parts of the park that would make it feel like the golden saucer?

ffxiii was a huge dispointment compared to expectations and the way that square enix hyped it (it wasnt just the fans, they promised us the best ff ever)

but yeah right, i guess wishing the game was better makes me a selfish person cause "not as many people will play it"

well i'm a gamer, i only care about the quality of the stuff i play!

if they mess with the world map and all the stuff that we already know nomura is doing.... i will... for the first time in my life.... send hate mail to them.

i know it's not gonna do anything but i'll get off my chest at least.

I wouldn't really be worried by the amount of content that will be on the disc; KH2 was on a single disc and it was still a pretty large game.

I do understand your other concerns though.

You'd think that if a company had to remove content that was already in the game in the first place, they offer it as free DLC.

It's pretty obvious you've got two different divisions with Street Fighter 4 and Lost Planet 2, for example, seeing as how SF4 and SSF4 both got Championship Mode and Tournament mode-respectively-as free DLC, whereas we've heard nothing of the content removed from Lost Planet 2.

FF6 had a whole world cut out of it (esper world)

Apparently FF4 had 40% of its content cut

FF9 had a lot of stuff relating to Terra cut out of it, as well as a fuller explanation of the Fusion spell.

FFX had LOADS cut out of it, some of which made it into FFX-2 (Shuyin, the existence of ancient ruins above Mt. Gagazet, getting to actually explore some of the Farplane) and some of which didn't (like a greater explanation of the relationship of gravity magic to pyreflies).

FF13 began development on PS2, it had lots of content scrapped from that too.

So why is this suddenly an issue now?
