I just noticed that Japanese consumers have purchased VERY few units for each of the consoles/handhelds this week when compared to the N.American and "Other" counter-parts. The only exception was the PSP, which sold less in the "Other" regions than it did in Japan, and not by much.
Is this a trend that I was just previously unaware of, or is something happening in Japan that is making them wary of purchasing units?
By life end:
- Wii- 100 million+
- Xbox360- 35~40 million
- PS3- 30 million
- PSP- 30~32 million ------------- FAILURE
- NDS- 85~90 million (Skeptical) - FAILURE
- NDS- 100 million+ (Optimistic) -- Success!
