From Bayonnetta onwards I've found myself searching the pre owned sections for cheaper versions of games I'm about to buy because if I had of waited another 3 weeks to buy Bayonetta I would have saved 20 euros and the patch to fix the game slightly would have been out. At the end of the day it was me down 55 euros on a broken game and not the developer who put out that inferior piece of shit in the first place.

If developers don't want people buying pre owneds they why put out games they know are only average


Bayonetta is a prime example of why i have stayed on the exclusive to ps3 path, there are few multiplats that are equal on both platforms (dead space and RE5). real quality comes from 1st party games (except ninja gaiden sigma 2, really good for a port).

The only valid point you had is supporting the industry. Unfortunately there's far more reasons to buy used.

I mostly buy new when it's an European release (but I also wait for a good deal or for the price to drop). Japanese releases though I buy about 2/3 used, they are just too expensive new, and used ones are excellently preserved.
