"El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron" First Screens

Following the revelation of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metraton in the recent issue of Famitsu magazine, the first screens are released today via Famitsu.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metraton is an action game developed by the director of Devil May Cry and Okami series, Sawaki Takeyasu.

In the following screenshots, gamers will be able to see some of its first concept arts and a few in-game screenshots.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metraton is scheduled for 2010 release on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

*thank you Dogma for teaching me what Metatron is, otherwise I would probably assume it's just another form of Megatron in some Transformers movie I never watched*

I'm not sure if the Biblical Enoch had titties, but either way, the game looks incredible even if the character design is a little unsettling. Artistically, it reminds me a bit of Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea.

I prefer stylized graphics most times... but this is just not pleasing to my eyes.

Looks like a vector illustration you buy at an image bank... good for ads, but not necessarily for games

I'm sold. Okami is to this day the game with the best graphics for me and I think it just got a challenger.

Coming from the same minds behind Okami and Devil May Cry, this won't disappoint me.

Note: I don't like Devil May Cry, but I reckon it is a good game.
