FFXIII sales here in the US proves that there needs to be a Western created FF with a team that can make good RPGs such as Bioware. 'Nuff said

Err...no. Bioware isn't goood at making RPGs with other people's properties. Case in point: Sonic's RPG.

I'm not suprised at BC2. Online shooters have long legs due to replayability.

Seriously, do some of these people only play shooters. Why can't they be more variable in the games they play.

Because shooting people is fun :)

its not overtracked for god sakes npd have it at 1.4 million combined and vgc have it at 1.7 million combined for all of america not just the usa

I like shooters as well but I don't get why people seem to be proud of using guns(in real life).  Gun violence is a major issue in America.

well npd doesn't count a lot of places in America mostly the u.s. and i hear they don't track certain store in the u.s. either. so basically it could be spot on depending on whether or not vgchartz gets its sales data from more places in America than the npd.

I can't really defend the game because I haven't played it.

However, the Metacritic score is a solid 74. Also Sonic Chronicles is very different from their other games.

Making a Sonic RPG may not have been the best choice, but I'd be interested in seeing a FF that plays more like Dragon Age, Oblivion, WoW, etc. Worst case scenario its still better than Crystal Chronicles.

they have one. It's called Final Fantasy XII which is like Dragon Age in the battle system department. And it's less linear or equal as dragon age as well.

Dragon Age used a modified gambit system that was from FFXII

They play very similar IMO.

OT: I think FFXIII is overtracked... but it's not by that much, because NPD doesnt include everywwhere, and it didn't sell that much anyways in april according to VGChartz.

How about games like KOTOR (using the Star Wars license) or Baldur's Gate 1&2 (using the D&D license). I don't know about you, but I'd say those are pretty good games.

The shooter outlegged everything. Didn't see that coming.

Tell that to any Call of Duty or Halo game this gen (or infact nerf N-strike, which I believe is the game with the highest ratio of total sales:first week sales ever). Shooters may not have legs comparable to Something like Wii Fit, but compared to RPGs and an action adventure with no multiplayer component, a multiplayer shooter will always have better legs
