Forums - Sales - Final Fantasy XIII sold 91,000 combined on April according to NPD

And some other numbers too

Sony's God of War III sold only 180,000 units last month in the US, compared to 1.10 million in March, while Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII shifted 1.32 million in its release month, compared to only 91,000 units in April. In comparison, the multiplayer focused Battlefield: Bad Company 2 sold 1.28 million in March, and 273,000 in April.

So Bad Company would be undertracked and Final Fantasy XIII overtracked.

God of War III is pretty much spot on.

ouch, the game is so frontloaded

The shooter outlegged everything. Didn't see that coming.

Combined. O_O

So, individually they sold like 10k a week each in a April? O_O

Looks like NPD kinda stealth-adjust their numbers. Probably overtracked it in march, so corrected it in April to balance things out, because that's too much of a fall.

Surprised were not seeing more sales on it in the us. Then again perhaps Square-Enix and others still think this is gonna have viewtiful legs.

It's just that simple.

91k is a good number for an interactive movie I guess

That means FF13 is severely overtracked here at Vgcharts.

FFXIII sales here in the US proves that there needs to be a Western created FF with a team that can make good RPGs such as Bioware. 'Nuff said
