I rented 3D Dot Game Heroes and Disgaea 3 recently. Both are good games and good at what they do. But I couldn't help but find myself bored of them so I sent them back. Maybe I could be burnt out on RPGs. Or just video games in general at the moment. Though then again I did enjoy Heavy Rain (not an RPG obviously) about a month ago and I still enjoy playing classic-styled jrpgs on the go (and luckily the DS and PSP have plenty). But for some inexplicable reason going through 3D Dot Game Heroes and Disgaea 3 felt like a chore to me. I felt like I was obligated to continue (given how much praise these games received from their cult following) instead of actually wanting to continue. So I just stopped myself and sent them back to get two more new rentals.

PS3 RPG-wise I'll try FF13, Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls next. Seeing as how I didn't like Disgaea, I probably won't like the supposedly lesser NIS RPGs (Trinity Universe, Cross Edge or Last Rebellion). And seeing as how I only just got a PSP recently, my time would probably best be served introducing myself to the PSP RPGs I've missed.

Funny story, i was banned for 3 days last june and didn't even knew about it coz i stoped visiting VGC till today  LOL! I've kinda lost my gaming urge  and haven't played my ps3 since i finished resonance of faith. i've still to start playing star ocean 4 and trinity universe which i have

anyways, just dropped by to say that i'm feeling the urge to play my ps3 again and  i'm once again most probably about to do something crazy. I have again come accross some extra cash and am thinking of finally buying god of war 3 and or uncharted 2. but atelier rorona just released and i'm almost postivite that when i enter the game store i'm gonna see atelier rorona and buy that instead...HAAARRGGGH!!!!  

will i ever get the change to buy god of war 3??!!

this really bites as i love god of war 1 and 2...

ah..well..with this economy, i'm lucky to get to buy a new game every six moths or so...might as well buy something that will take me a while to finish..

i do now :) havent gotten around to playing it though as i'm trying to play through star ocean which is starting to be more of a chore than fun... after star ocean next in line would be trinity universe. only after will i play atelier rorona...damn...at this rate it'll take me till feb 2011 to finish my rpg back logs (and thats not counting games that i have yet to buy. specifically - deamon souls, valkyrie chronicles and probably eternal sonata if i can get it dirt cheap).

I just hope all the issues with FFXIV are ironed out for the PS3 launch

All critics are saying the game is horrendous due to a few things, but if those things go it has the potential to be one of the best MMO's
