I just wanted it to be known that this is an unfair method of comparison between the two systems. They both have strong points, and week points. But since Xbox did, and plans to release their next console before other manufacturers, it was bought up earlier. It's been on the market longer, resulting in many more sales. People who haven't both systems will obviously root for which ever one they bought.

Now for the one sided part of my reply...

I like the Ps3 better. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-360, but the ps3 suits me better. I don't have a lot of spending money, and I just want to be able to play the game every now and then. The Ps3 is no more pricey than an Xbox, with the exception of the discount Xbox with all of 1GB of crap. Also, I didn't want to pay for any repairs, or a warranty. My neighbor has both systems, and he enjoys the Ps3 far more than the Xbox he has.

The Xbox-360 has:

1) FAR better controllers. Although this point is made irrelevant by products such as this http://www.xcmlive.com/cgi-bin/xcmlive/engine.pl?function=viewid&id=RKS000165

2) It has better online interaction, which, might also go down the drain with Sony's new plan.

On the negative side, it's known to be unreliable, and is VERY noisy.

Whereas the ps3:

1) very quiet

2) has no "RROD" but instead freezes occasionally. (no more than RROD occurs) and is fixed by restarting it

3) has one of the best blu-ray players on the market.

Of course, these problems are also being addressed in the production of the xbox 360 slim. Trying to make it quiter, less likely to die, and trying to incorporate a blu-ray player. I wonder, however, how this will affect the pricing of the system. it costs the same as the ps3 without these problems, and all of them are beginning to balance out. Aside from that, the pure asthenics of the ps3 are more fitting in any modern home.

if the average VGCHARTZ gamers preditions are right for the end of the yr sells then it is highly possible. but there is one person who predict's 360 will sell 50m by the end of this yr so.

Alot of you have failed to consider that once the power of teh Cell has been fully invoked (now expected sometime in 2011), the known Universe will collapse onto itself causing a critical mass distortion of the space time continuim thus reseting the clock back to Nov/ Dec 05 and reversing both the launch dates and price points of X360 and PS3. Once this occurs PS3 will hit 40 m sometime in 2009.
