Most of Pachters predictions are BS IMO, but his statements are just his opinion and no one has to agree with him. However... the only (nintendo-) thing I'm interested in at E3 is Zelda .

Your assumption that it is his own opinion is frankly insulting to him. I would have thought it was the opinion of the majority of commercial gaming media, and therefore his view too. (this is also insulting for a grown man in finance but whatever)
Lets not forget this is the guy who said, "i like Heavy Rain, but the majority of the PS3/360 audience won't like it (showing alot of disrespect there)".
Everytime i assume he is the only person on GT who has a different view on Nintendo, except of course the formerly employed N'Gai, he comes out with bullshit like this to remind me, as it should remind you, that HE IS A FINANCE EXPERT and not even he thinks Nintendo is financially viable.
Who pays for Pachters golfing holidays? Might be interesting to find that out.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
