But I'll not quit. I'll just start playing only old games.

I don't think that I will stop playing video games, but I will probably play less, as other thinks will be more important (kids, work etc.)
When they only release games with a '+1' or ':insert additional name here' after its name and therefore are only developing games for people that like to play the same unoriginal recycled crap over and over again.
Next console gen will probably (almost certainly) be my last console purchase, and I have absolutely no desire to get on the never-ending PC upgrade spiral necessary to maintain the capability of playing the most recent PC games.
So I'd say within 10 years (or when the kids have moved out, whichever is latest, the youngest will be 21 in 10 years) I am unlikely to be actively video gaming, especiallly if the structure of the video game industry is similar to what it is today.
Of course I'll probably still play the odd game of solitaire and hearts on computer. Does that count as video gaming?
Of course in 10 year's time Natal (or something a lot like it) will be a central feature of electronic interaction in the home. So its role in entertainment, including gaming, may be such that video gaming of sorts will be part of nearly everyone's entertainment activity.
With Natal of the future who will need to audition for gameshows? Everyone will play the gameshow in their living room until the number of contestants drops from millions down to the 1 winner.

The day i stop playing games, will be the day only FPS genre left in gaming.......
probably when the new consoles get too expensive to buy, and my old ones break beyond repair (i fear that my master system may finally be on its last legs) :(

I can believe it. They said the AVERAGE age, they are probably calculating the average age based on the "mean" value.
Think about all the grandparents playing wii now that are skewing these numbers...
Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos
