Of course, the story of mysidia and how it all fitted and spanned two universes and so many other FFs used for Tie-ins (Lufenia rings a bell?), the brother vendetta theme which has been pursued in other FFs since then. Oh and saving the world is all about sacrifice, at least that's more real than a bunch of unknown people that somehow manages to overcome the most powerful evil of all XD.

Also, I guess that Rydia's losing her entire village and having to grow up the summon land, learning all about the flow of life and the story of the world is shallow as well...oh snap

Seriously, do you have to resort to insults to prove your points? I knew it would go down like this, so that's why I pushed you xD

Oh, those are the main two themes of FF4?

I find it funny since they both go on for a total of two hours and this game is 30 hours long for the main story.

Rydia? She had the most personality, yeah. She was the best character (forgot about her). I'll give you that.

And dude, if you knew you were being an idiot and just did that to incite me, shut up.

Two hours you say? Well the duel between Golbez/Cecil goes along for the duration of the entire game, in case you missed it

And the Lufenia legend is referred throughout the entire game, as everything in the game is part of the Lufenian lore, starting from the Valley of the Mist. Everything is explained by Asura, Leviathan and Bahamut.

Yup, I did that to incite you, because you always do this. Anyone who disagrees with you is either A) An idiot. B) Dumb.

And when the tables are turned, you vent off far too easy

You said brother vendetta, they figured out they were brothers late into the game.

The tables are hardly turned, I yelled at you because you were being idiotic and you even acknowledged that.

Hope didn't just have his mother die..

He was a l'cie or maybe you forgot, his life was finished. He was either gonna die as a cie'th or become a slave trapped inside a crystal. Its like being 14 & knowing you have cancer & your going to die in a few months.

Then as he ws a l'cie the whole of cocoon hated him, his OWN country despised him (remember palumpolum scenes with crowds)....thats a lot for a fourteen year old to bear

All because some ginger girl made him go into a vestige & a pink haired woman attacked a pulse fal'cie.

Its funny you don't mention Tidus from FFX who had it the 2nd worst imo.

Yes Hope definitely had it worst.

I think it could be settled in a nice way. Such as everyone had plenty to complain about :P
It's kinda like I shoot your girlfriend (or boyfriend) and then, there is a time limit to what you can complain about, There's no rationale answer, other than it's possible this person has something to complain about, how much he should be allowed to complain varies from person to person

No, he doesn't have it worse.

Hope had far less to complain about, even with that stuff.

The characters I listed, they're sense of identity were stripped from them, and they realize they've been lving their entire life a lie.

At least with the l'Cie brand they could hide it like at Nautilus and still live normally. And don't give me the "Oh, I'll become a Cie'th" crap since they knew that when crystallized they'd wake up.

Look at Vivi, he had a lot more to complain about.

He was engineered, he realized that his life didn't mean anything on the cargo ship, he only had months to live, and his grandpa died.

Don't you think Vivi had it a LITTLE BIT worse?

Yes they knew when crystallized they'd wake up but What kind of life is waking up from a crystal sleep just to do another focus and be crystallized again? They were l'cie forever.

If vivi was engineered then Hope also became a l'cie & became a pawn, a tool of the fal'cie forever.

So your telling me being turned into a l'cie who needs to serve the fal'cie forever isn't having your identity stripped of yourself? right...

Cecil only figured it out later, when FuSoYa hinted it and Golbez confirmed it. Golbez knew all along, thanks to Zeromus intervention. Actually, that was one of the main things as to why Golbez was easily swayed by Zeromus, as he felt his heart too weak to continue the Lufenian tradition (becoming the White Knight was part of it).

There are two places where this part of the story plays out. First on the Wind Crystal shrine and later on the moon as well.

Oh, need I remind you that it was you who said that I was wrong not to aknowledge Vivi as the best character in FF and that I was an idiot to think that Zidane's backstory was better than Vivi's? People have opinions and I never said yours was wrong. It's how you push your own opinion's on other people.

You need to know that I'm sarcastic and was joking at that point.

@Akiba

I think Yuna didn't have much to complain about after Yunalesca.

And Tidus did have a lot after Mt. Gagazet.

But I think Vivi had the most on his playe.

Don't you think Vivi had it a LITTLE BIT worse?

They only found that out during the end of chapter 7 (after Hope changed).

Also, no. I don't think Vivi had it worse. Everybody in the world wanted to kill Hope & the rest of the party. They were being treated as if they were no longer human. They have been taught all of their lives that L'Cie aren't humans. Does that not fall under the "idenitiy stripped" category? Also, what do you mean "they could hide it like at Nautilus and still live normally"? They were living on borrowed time. They could never live normally knowing that at anytime, they would become a Cie'th, a monster. So, knowing all of this, lets add up the reasons why Hope had a good reason to act the way he acted during almost the first half of the game.

1.) His mother got killed because of Snow's influence

2.) He became a L'Cie, "Enemy of Cocoon", a thought to be non-human, because of someone else's actions

3.) The whole world was out for his head

4.) If he doesn't complete his focus, he will become a Cie'th (a monster). And even if he did manage to complete it, he would become a crystal (and at the time when he was "whining", he didn't know that he would eventually reawaken from it, nobody did except for Fang & Vanille).

5.) He is dealing with all of this and he is only 14 YEARS OLD.

Now, you know Vivi had most of these things as well?

1) His grandpa died

2) He wasn't human either

3) Black mages were made for war and he was thought of as something used only for war and feared

4) Black mages only have a life span of a year, and he was already six months old. And he had NO chance of returning like Hope.

5) He had the personality of a 9 YEAR OLD

So, would you still say Hope had it worse.
