Probably because of Golden Week. I guess they increased marketing for this game too.


Or maybe they are buying them in anticipation of Pokemon Black & White

There must be a pretty big ad campagne coming from Nintendo when every game (Wii/DS) in the Top 30 does much better than last week.

I'm going to assume you don't mean Japan only.

Looks pretty certain with Others having PSP>360, and Americas is unlikely to overhaul the Japan + Others lead PSP builds up.
