Don't crush my hopes! The platforming was horrible, so floaty it makes me sick. My dream game would be Super Mario World with an editor like LBP.

ok thnks for clearing up. Its jst where it sed they are not focussing on platforming made me feel r they rushing this without refining platforming jst for the sake of getting it out in PS3's peak year.

But it sounds vry gud. It sed u can make RPG's too. 

I think that's your problem and not the game's.  ;)

I mean, I would wait for E3 to actually come and go before deciding a winner, but hey, more power to ya.

Good news if true. We already have 3D Mario and 2D Sonic coming out this year, so it would be good to see LBP2 continue the year of the platformer!

*ROFL* It seems only non-PS3/LBP fans are wholly unsurprised by this announcement and seem to have known it all along. How come the LBP fans are the last to know? Perhaps it's got to do with the fact that there is so much still going on with LBP that for those actually playing it the need and clamour for a sequel hasn't really arisen. Whereas those that have no interest in it / actively dis-like it assume that its such a limited game that a sequel announcement is long past being due.

I LIKE THE FLOATY JUMPING PHYSICS in LBP! Just thought I'd put that out there.

What I found a bit annoying was the jumping back and forth between planes sometimes had you doing the opposite of what you expected / tried to.

If its releasing this year then Sony's Holiday line up just went Spectacular beyond all reason. It has been over a year and a half since LBP dropped. They have had plenty of time to touch up the game. I believe this is what Sony was talking about with AAA titles debuting with the Move this fall(which also makes the push back make more sense). LBP was universal GOTY and got multiple awards all around. It also sold a very good amount for a new IP. It was only a matter of time.

PS Move is looking to have a decent debut now(regardless of your opinion on it)...

It sounds very good & the decision to focus on community/creation is very good as the developers realized platforming wasn't the best part of LittleBigPlanet 1.

I can hardly contain my excitement.
